  1. It appears as if dark tinting of windows is fashionable here in the eastern states Craig - but not so out west?

Not sure Terry, to tell you the truth I've never actually noticed. May have something to do with the police presence over here, they're not too fond of anything with more than a couple of hundred horsepower! :P

Here's a pic from this arvo after a quick clean, ready for Custom Cars & Coffee tomorrow morning.

  2. Hi guys - we had a little meet over here in WA last weekend, we didn't quite match Sydney's numbers, but we managed 14! Here's a little video from the meet, hope you enjoy! :)

(Terry, you may notice another white N1 there..... absolutely mint condition with @ 12,000 original km's on it ;)

Edit: and just seen the other pic from the meet on the previous page...

  3. Hi mate, general rule of thumb is don't boost past 1bar (approx. 15 psi) on stock turbos. Don't be overly concerned if it occasionally goes over but don't make a habit of it. I ran 18psi for 3 years on my 32R and never had a problem, but I was probably lucky. Also, the laws of diminishing power come into play at higher boost levels due to extra heat and the efficiency of stock turbos etc.....

    Anyways, pics?? :P

  4. Great images 32godzilla what you using and what techniques?

That's straight to the point!! :)

Not easy to say though because I do every photo a little bit different depending on what style I'm trying to achieve. That said, I normally process my RAW files into smart objects and layer a couple together. I use overlay a lot as well, stacking a couple of layers on top and playing around until I get the look I want. Smart objects is your friend!!

I like this one below because it was one of those random moments when you think, quick there's a good shot here!! I wasn't quite ready to go, so had to rush pretty quickly to get the shot, and one of my speedlites wasn't firing so I did what I could. Handheld at 1/60sec lying on the ground wasn't that easy, but Nikon's VR system does wonders! :) (Shot using a 70-200mm 2.8 VR2)

  6. Cheers guys, Mark they're actually SSR Professor SP-1's but I can't tell the difference between the 2! The colour is midnight purple II but without any strong light on it, it looks almost black.

  7. Hi. I did this in October 2009. See my thread about it, including planning, with lots of pictures on the last page.

GTR across the Nullabor - both ways

Damn it! I was looking for this thread before I drove over from Adelaide Australia Day last year! In addition to all of the above, make sure you have good tyres on your car - I learnt the hard way!

Also, fuel is around $2 per litre (for 98) across the Nullarbor, and you won't always get 98. It is a drive I think everyone has to do at least once, and other than tyre blows both my 260RS and R34 GTR were a dream to drive. Oh, and one last thing, there's no mobile coverage from just out of Norseman until your across the Nullarbor, from memory it might have been nearing Ceduna but can't remember.

Some pics from my trip, my old man helped me drive the GTR over (and he's over 70!).
