  2. The reliability issue of rotaries is a crock of shit

The ones who spin all that garbage about them being unreliable are the ones who dont look after them properly

I had a modded s4 rx7 a few years ago and never had any issues

Look after them and service them and they will be fine

Hey i sat in a S8 Rx7 on the weekend and its a snug fit for a tall guy, is there a steering tilt on it?..beautiful car though!! I also have to agree i think the interior of the S15/Rx7 S8 looks better than the R34, but the R34 has great performance and is more practical and less common than the S15..

  3. Don't forget its a 8-9 yo car that has been in a rusty enviroment all these years by the looks of it . Look for a cleaner axample or one that has been repaired so you dont see it .
you arnt being overly picky. do it right the first time and get a car you beleive is good.

you dont wanna waste money fixing it later on.

True that  thanks dudes just gotta wait for the right one and be patient...

  4. Rust on the strut brace/tower might be an issue. I know of an R34 that was imported into AUS and ended up not being able to be complied and registered because of rust on the strut tower. Has this one been complied and registered yet?

It has been complied by the same dealer selling the vehicle and it yet to be registered apparently, vehicle was very clean though..

I wouldn't buy it, I'd expect there to be no rust in that location, unless there has been some stress that has pulled the sealant on the welds.

The nut holding the strut brace looks like it's got a bit of salt corrosion as well.

Many of the nuts at the front had some corrosion on them which concerned me also

Cheers for the super fast replies because i was considering buying it....

  5. Hi guys just spent a some time inspecting a R34 for purchase and found these spots of rust near around the strut brace on both sides. Rust was also present on the clips that hold the radiator near front bar and underneath the vehicle on the factory muffler.

Should i be concerned or is this a natural occurance?

    Cheers in advance :(

  6. My first time in a Skyline was in a non turbo, which was ok. Then fast forward some time later and i took a R34 GTT for a test drive, it had exhaust, pod and cooler. I was just blown away by the stiffness of the car, steering and of course exciting boost that came on as i tested the beast. Just feeling the ass of the 34 twitch as youv'e given it some more pedal in the right gear and then whoooosh away was pure excitement and fun...fun enough to keep driving past the dealership :(

now i simply want one.

  7. Dealers always produce a receipt for the deposit.

When person writing receipt of deposit, tell him to include that If the pre-inspection does not meet your needs then a full deposit will be returned. Could also say if you find any Major/Minor problems would like deposit back.

If you state anything like that on the receipt of the deposit then there shouldn't be any issues on getting deposit back.

Also, state for a 3 day cooling period. Every dealer must return full deposit in the first three days. I believe its a law which most dealers do not disclose to people as they will lose deposit.

    Cheers

Cheers matey for that, at least now i can walk in with even more confidence

  8. go out and buy one of these

    ext5.jpg

as soon as you get it you will need to bolt a few things on such a positron flux capacitor and ion matter distrubitor... repco stock them i believe... part number is BTF20193-A and BTF08073-PP

Your end product should look like this...

    car018-c.jpg

Now if you make it this far your doing well... once you have created this vehicle to the exact specifications you should be able to travel back in time to 1990-1993 and find one in better then good condition.

    sorry... bored at work.
