  1. what wastegate are you using?

    im going the smaller housing so should see less power but more response.

    turbosmart external man, its frikn loud tho once u hit full boost, attracts a bit too much attention, so be careful lol, set me back around 700-800 i think

  2. Havent done anymore mods yet, there are cams in it at the moment. And yeh it sticks to the road heaps well man cant even get the thing to slide sometimes. But i do have 19" by 10.5" rims, 265 Semi slicks cost me nearly $900 a tyre so if it didnt grip i would be scared lol. Only other mods i was going to do is probably forge the internals and then have hi boost set at around 24, main goal here is somehow try reduce the lag and hi 400rwkw, hopefully 10 grand gets me there, already cost me enoughhhhh!!

    just keep an eye on ya engine warning light since u cant see a knock reading

    can you post a dyno sheet and air/fuel ratios??

  4. shaun at boostworx did it bro, ended up getting a howtech(dono the spelling) computer instead of vipec. Apparently the engine should be ok for a while,

    just cruise on 12psi and only goto 18psi here and there, but it gets addictive. lol, heres a pic

  5. hey guys, just want a bit of advice here, my car is currently gettin worked on at the moment and am hoping to hit arounnd the 330rwkw mark on 19psi, ive done every mod i thinks possible. How long do u do u guys think the internals and rods will last. Or should i forge the internals and all that sort of stuff as well or just wait till the engine goes then do it when its time to rebuild.

    bit of background of the mods.

    Vipec computer

    Garrett gt3082r

    cams

    plenum

    550 cc injectors

    front mount

    brass button clutch

    walbro fuel pump

    greddy boost controller

    and the obvious external wastegate etc etc

    any advice or previous experiences guys would be awesome

  6. Yeh i went through Extensive Wheel service, its 307 South Road Mile end. PH: 83525777.

    I went there about 12 months ago....due to a bit of immature driving, smacked up all 4 rims pretty badly. They do a pretty damn good job tho i must say but it didnt come cheap, it cost me $165 per rim so it was a fairly costly experince. It cost more because the way they were bent and the fact they had deep dish, so it does depend on what rims u have on as well. Hope this gives u a better idea.

Quick question can sum1 just explain to me wot is meant by the kg/cm2 gauge in my R33, when i start it, it is usually between 4 and 8, but once its been running for a while it drops down to 2 or even under.........wots a good level it should sit at??? coz sum people have told me if it drops too low its bad for the car, so now i wanna keep an eye on it but never knew what exactly it means.

Finallyyyyy got my dump/front pipe and high flow cat done today, along with just the usuals, car sounds a fair bit meaner and the whistling is Alottt louder and comes in earlier than before :) , even tho i have a stock BOV and just an apexi pod i have been pulled over twice and tried to b defected and i keep telling em its all stock.......shits mee! And just my luck the dyno had a problem today so they were unable to tune it and stuff, goto love the timing :) . keep u guys posted on the total rwkw gain, really hard to tell just by driving it.

  9. hey guys, does anyone know wot the power gain is in gettin a dump/front pipe and a high flow cat in a r33?? Atm i get 170rwkw i dont have a front mount yet, and is it safe to get a dump pipe even if i dont have a front mount??

  10. Just a question, might sound stupid. Can i put a FMI and upgrade my fuel pump with a stock ecu? i dont think i can but i wanna make sure, and if so wot ecu do u recommend for a R33 s1.5 1995

  11. Yeah thats meant to be a common problem with 33's i looked into it a while ago because mine does the same thing atm, its the fuel sender its meant to become unhooked from its mount and thats why it gives you the bad readings.

    I will be fixing mine soon so when i do ill take some pics for ya if you want

    OHh k kool, how much roughly does it cost to fix coz its shi$ting me i wanna fix it asap. cheers

Hey guys need a little help here...this had left me baffled, i was driving my R33 last nite and all of a sudden my fuel cage went from 1/4 of a tank to above full, then for the whole nite it just ranged from 3/4 to full..............have no idea wots going on, hopefully sum1 else has encountered this and nows wots going on. sorry if its a stupid question. lol

    Wonder if he's liable for the phone box? Police involved at all?

    nar think he drove the car off so cops didnt get there fast enough, but yeh went around and had a look at the dmg its not written off but hes bought the parts to fix it and in total costs about $2500-3000 so he must be peaking, ah well, yeh he had the car for about 5 hours i think. :domokun:

Sad to say but my mate bought an R32 yesterday and being of the younger kind he got cocky and tailwhipped into a tree which spun him into a fone box, im thinking its a rite off, just really sad it was THE FIRST Frikn day. So just be careful in the wet guys, coz seeing injured skylines isnt a pretty thing, lol. Laterssss

    Ohh and btw wats a good FMI to get and where to get it fitted, any help is appreciated ive got just over a g atm. cheers

  15. my cars had 5 oil changes in 3 and a half weeks. its a spoilt little f**k.

    EDIT:Oh and a new turbo. and all the missfirings gone from splitfire coilover installation.

    when u say missfiring do u mean wen its idling??? or like mine wen i said it almost pulls back and feels like the revs just shit themselves.

  16. hey R32_4door_drifting ive sort of got the same problem with my car, wen i hit 5000-6000 rpm every now and again the car will pull back heaps hard, im thinking one of the injectors arent working wen full throttle and sum1 said my fuel pump but its highly unlikely. However it only happens like once every 30 times im in the 5000-7000 range and it lasts about a minute or 2. Theres this soundwave or something process and they can apparently clean ur injectors without pulling anythin apart, might have to give it a go.

    p.s GL with the repairs man, dont worry my mate spent $13 on a 180sx and its still not running (cracked the oil sump and is missing gears 2nd and 4th, so things could be worse, lol.

  17. i got the battery out, is the battery in an R33 12V it may sound dumb but i just wanna kno coz my charger that plugs into the power point is meant for 12v batteries, hope sum1 can reply asap, cheers

  18. Disconect your battery , then charge it . If it's a a 33 , just be carefull of your rear speakers as they might atempt to pull the spaner towards them as you undo the terminals. A rubber insulated handle type is best.

    Another thing , with the battery from a 33 , you dont need to open the cell caps .

  19. OHHHHHH spewing, i left my in car light on overnight, woke up and the f%$# is dead as, ive heard your not allowed to jump start skylines or any turbo because it may stuff up the turbo or somethin.........do i just remove the battery and charge it seperately or what, cheers guys. :laugh:
