  2. I got someone on this forum to install it. I've tried a second remote so it's not a remote issue. I just need someone who works on alarms to have a look at it for me.

thats a bold comment, directed electronics make some of the best products on the market !!!! if you have the talent to wire them up right ?, failure rates are extremeley low which is why they have a lifetime warranty on most (not batteries ) parts , 99% of the time bad wiring job or remote thru a washing machine is the issue.

take it back to the place that installed it ??? they would sort it out quickly

first guess, no antenna connection or its been cut/taped on steel after someone worked on the car ,which = no range on remote, second, lost programming by fiddling around with a few things with the key on , is it a new remote??? changed the remote or car battery lately, remote battery is it in the right way?

a newer viper won't unlock if it see's mutiple alarms in close proximity being armed or disarmed. the upper models will vibrate or chirp the transmitter when that happens(anti code scanning protection)

sometimes the on off button gets mashed inside by you pushing on it too hard or crap in your pockets, if it can be unscrewed

have a look at it on the inside , the little pin behind the button , mushroomed ??? or missing ??

does it work by pushing the little rubber button with the case off? if so buy a new case or remote

if you have two remotes try the other one??

if not does it have any error code beeps or flashes ?

might be a scrambled brain if you jump started the car ? but if a DEI Authorized pro installed it ?? DEI will swap the brain no fuss most of the time

  3. Hi,

I'm having problems with my alarm. It doesn't register my key presses, mainly disarm. I have to press it many times before it will disarm. I've tried resetting it and reprogramming the remote. That hasn't helped. Using the valet switch to disarm it still works. Anyone on this forum in Victoria who can service these alarms? Getting very annoying when I have to stand at my car pressing the remote over and over again.

  4. Hi,

I just recieved an EPA notice for exhaust noise. It's currently got a HKS Silent Hi-Power on it, which in my opinion is not that loud.

Anyway, I have another exhaust that came with the car originally and it's quieter. However as it's not stock so I'm not 100% sure if it's under the 90db limit. I just want see if anyone has a standard one that I can borrow if my other one doesn't pass.

I'm located in the North Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

    Thanks,

    Ray

  5. Has anyone else had problems with BSA that they would like to share? I just did a search on google and came across this post.

    http://www.trackchat.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=766

I don't want to buy a replacement for this wheel if this problem can occur on the other ones. I don't know what to do know. Should I contact BSA? Or speak to a tire place? The wheel shop that I called on Saturday said they'll ring me back on Monday about the new one that I wanted to purchase. Should I tell them what happened and bring it in to show them? I don't know if they would be willing to help me as I never purchased the wheels of them in the first place.

  6. GET THAT OFF YOUR CAR RIGHT NOW

Do NOT drive anywhere on that at all!!

No one will repair a cast rim that is cracked like that- dependent on how old it is, maybe try and hit up BSA to replace under warranty.

Yeah, I already removed the wheel on Saturday quick smart. I bought these rims second hand off someone from these forums. Unfortunately I can't remember who, and I doubt there's any chance of getting it replaced under warranty.

I rang up a wheel shop for replacement, he quoted me $250. Now I'm just looking for a good place to buy a replacement around Melbourne. Any good recommendations?

I have no idea how it fractured like this, I didn't hit anything. I'm suspecting it's poor quality or previous owner caused some damage to it.

  7. I was doing and inspection of my car today and I noticed this crack through the spoke of my rim.

Is this repairable and would it be safe to drive to a tyre centre?

I live in Rosanna, northern suburbs of Melbourne. Any rim repairers you guys can recommend that I can ring up and check?

Has anyone else had problems with rims cracking before? The brand I've got is BSA.

I just rang up a local wheel repairer and he said they don't repair crack wheels, and he doesn't know of anyone who does.

Is that right? I was reading a couple of posts on this forum and it seems like people have got their crack rims repaired before.

  9. My car just stalled last night while driving and when I start it, it idles really bad. The only symtoms I had before the stalling was when I stopped at the lights the idle wasn't stable and it would almost stall. This happened a few times before it actually stalled while driving.

I'm suspecting it's the airflow meter. I need a good meter to test but I don't have a spare R32 airflow meter. However I do have and R33 Series 2 airflow meter. Does anyone know if I can use this?

  10. Hey mate, any chance that you'd consider meeting in western suburbs at all?

    I'm interested in the SAFC.

Its just that i'm located in ballarat, so its a bit of a drive lol.

    Cheers mate.

My car just broke down tonight . It just stalled while I was driving. It starts but won't idle well. So I don't think I will be able to meet up in Western suburbs anytime soon. PM me if you want to arrange something, maybe even postage if you don't want to drive down.

  11. I'm running the same exhaust on the R32 gts-t. It is indeed very quiet and full stainless steel. The exhaust is 3.5".

For what it's worth I run an HKS Silent Hi-Power system and was very surprised at how quiet it was. The 'Silent' in the name isn't just a marketing ploy. It seems they are rated at 98dB but I would be very surprised if it's louder than 90dB.

This is on a GTT with HKS dump and Front pipes as well... x-force cat. It sounds wicked as hell when you open it up. Surprised no one else is running this system.

  12. It comes down at a certain speed to aid in down force. I've attacted a picture of it. It's that little lip at the bottom of the bumper.

Hey what exactly is this.. never heard of it..

Item: R32 Active front spoiler with motor

Condition: Dent on the underside, but unnoticeable from the front.

    Price: $40

Comments: Perfect for someone who has the button and cables in their car but missing the active spoiler.
