  1. The R33 GTR Brembo front pads. What is the Bendix part number?

    On their website, they have:

    DB1170

    Year: 1989 – 2001

    Model: Skyline

    Variant: R32, R33, R34 GTR (Import) Turbo

Set consists of: 2 Inner Pads and 2 Outer Pads

    FMSI: 7340-D460

    and

    DB1520

    Year: 1990 – 2001

    Model: Skyline

    Variant: R32; 33; 34 GTR Brembo Caliper

    FMSI: 7858-D960

So, what's the difference? One does say brembo, but I didn't know there was a R34 GTR without brembo pads for example. I also didn't know there was a "non-import" or "aus-spec" GTR, or any R32-R34 for that matter. Any advice here?

  2. Depending if we can get the price down further, we can always email the supplier and see how much it would cost for them to ship to you direct I guess, Perth could be exxy though with an item that big

Nah, i wanted to buy someones Gt-t wing after they replace it with these GTR wing. So, if someone buys these for $700 they could offset their cost by selling me their old wing :)

Postage to Perth can be done through TnT, fastway couriers or something.

If anyones keen on selling their old wing shoot me a PM. Cheers.

  3. Took off valve body. However, in process snapped the two clips that hold the connectors together (same part that breaks on coil packs). Also, found the blue cable has been sheared, most likely when I bumped the pan good and proper. And this cable leads to the "lock-up control valve" and other lock-up bits which explains the error I was getting (lock-up solenoid error).

Not, can those connectors be fixed/replaced without replacing the whole thing? Same question for blue cable. I'm thinking of just doing some creative soldering with the blue cable. Should fix it easy enough. Not too sure about the connectors. Any advice would be great.

    Pics:

No damage here from a quick look. Good start.

The orange and grey clip hanging down here are where the clips that hold it have slipped off. You can also see the blue cable with nothing on the end :D

And here's the other end of the poor blue wire. Obviously got sheared when the pan got damaged.

  4. Sunway ftw. Beware though, car modification in Malaysia is expensive, therefore don’t expect to get quality bits cheap (as I found out), you will be disappointed. Nengun / Greenline is way cheaper. Went to Brothers also, looks good from the front…lol, inside lots of crap everywhere, mainly just tacky stuff to bolt onto your Proton (of which there are eleventy billion of in KL).

I'd say you're back but don't waste your time at Brothers. i went there last time I was in KL and it's exactly like supercheap, but much much worse. There' not one real performance part in the shop, all "Monza" and "Type S" brand type stuff. Audio might be ok there though. There really isn't much quality car parts to legitimately get in M'sia unless you know people :)

  5. I thought soo

Sold, getting one ordered very shortly

Paul at Keas is very good. He's doing some work for me out of this GB and has helped with all aspects of my rebuild (which I'm probably gonna regret but am trying myself). From the valve body rebuild he did for me through to recommending places over here in WA for me to get parts from to save me some shipping $$$$. He really went above and beyond.

  6. It looks just like a glitch in the game.....

Or maybe your card doesn;t support the needed shaders?

Ok, been playing for a few yrs now and I know that problem well. My brother had it and the only solution we found was getting a different video card. He had a LCD screen which may have been the cause though my guess was faulty card as updating game and drivers didn't fix it. Sorry I'm not more help.

  7. That's because NONE have been shipped yet.

They were just doing the invoice today and should be charged to my card account today.

Sorry for the delay, as they're doing the invoice today, I believe they should have 7693 & 908 in stock today...

Got my rotors today, 7701G. Thanks rs73. BTW, how do I add a +1 to your trader rating?

  8. Hope this is in the right area. Was just wondering on the laws surrounding BOVs.

As far as I know they are illegal in all states? Is this right? And is this due to noise pollution or emission controls (oil could get vented out perhaps?)?
