  1. Since I am still accumulating parts and have never actually run my motor, I do not know what vacuum the RB26 motor runs, so I don't know which spring to get for my Tial 50mm blow off valve. My first guess would be the 18-21 mmHg (-11psi) spring, but I'm not positive. Thanks.

  2. The clip/connector part of my factory ait sensor snapped off, so I need to replace it, but can't figure out what part number (oem nissan or other) to replace it with. I took it out and the coolant temp sensor...they look identical, but don't know if one has better resolution than the other or something similar.

I have been searching this topic for a long time now and haven't found anything helpful, so any info would be greatly appreciated.

  3. After reading this thread a few weeks ago, then again today, I am still unsure of what to do for my application, so if someone wouldn't mind pointing me in the correct direction...

RB26, acl race bearings with calico coating, have not decided on pump yet (JUN if money allows, N1 if not). Anyways, the car is a daily driven street car but sees the cicuit time about once a month. Revs should stay below 8000rpm at all times (7500rpm shiftpoint, 7800rpm revlimit). Would you say that 1.25mm would be the best since it is in between the two applications or should you just go straight for the 1mm since it will see the track on a regular basis?

  4. I posted this on another forum to, but you guys generally know more, just not as many rb26 people it seems....anyway. Pretty simple thread, just curious as to what single turbo you run, is it ball bearing or journal bearing, and what A/R do you use on the turbine side...also is it split flange or not. Then if you wouldn't mind commenting on spool and how the car pulls to redline.

I know my TO4R on my stock ported rx7 had a .84 A/R and it spooled decently quick, but it def died out about 7300rpm and I rev'd to 8100rpm, I would hate for that to happen again on my RB, but also don't want to wait forever for boost to hit.

  5. I posted this over at gtr.co.uk, but haven't got any responses really, maybe you guys can help me out...

I have been searching for info on this for a while now. I would truly like to buy a GT4088R and be done with it, but right now money is tight and I'm not sure I can afford a ball bearing turbo when the time comes.

So what I am looking for is anyone's input on spool time for decently sized journal bearing turbos on a stock displacement motor with stock heads. My goals are between 550-600 whp. I have a pretty good knowledge of turbos and choosing the right turbo, but some first hand RB26 specific info would be great. Specifically these are the turbos that I am looking at mostly...but if anyone has any other suggestions definitely don't hesitate to voice you're opinion. Some specs were hard to find.

Also I must state, that this will be in a LHD Z33 and I really do not want to deal with the hassle of twin turbos and downpipe routing around the steering shaft, so twins are pretty much out. My hp goals are in the 550-600 whp on pump gas. The motor has CP pistons and stock rods with arp rod bolts...fyi.

  6. Hey all. I just recieved my RB26 motor yesterday and am now looking for a factory Crank Pulley (or aftermarket one if you have one) cause the one on the motor has a chip in it. Only catch....I need it shipped to me in the USA. Please let me know if you have one and if you can help me out.
