  1. sorry to semi thread hijack, but just a quick question about custom plate mounting on an r33 S2.

the polycarbonate 9 letter plate is 375mm long, which doesnt actually fit in the stock plate are.

has anyone overcome this problem? any ideas?

    cheers

BTW there is a black 180sx with like glitter paint going around with [bOOSTED]

  2. im pulling 371hp and my mechanic/tuner told me to use coppers, he said, "replace them every 4-5000kms, they are $2 each, who gives a f$%k" i just gap them to about 0.8mm (from memory) and im set..

IMO id rather spend $12 on a set of plugs than almost $100... i can buy 8 sets of copper plugs to one set of those fancy ones. 8 sets will last me 40000kms... by the time i reach that distance on my odo, ill prob have wrapped teh car around a tree...

    copper = winner

  3. as stated above, im looking for an r33 A pillar 60mm gauge mount for my skyline.

GReddy (i think it is) makes a double gauge holder for the r33 which extends the entire length of the A pillar.

Im chasing this, but with 1 gauge mount only.... ive been looking everywhere and no luck so far.

    can anyone help me?

    cheers

  4. this sounds interesting... i would have thought that it could also be put in fountains and stuff, like in the Richie Rich movie ROFL that would be funny

Bubbles + Food colouring = pink fountain!!!

although i think skids is probably more likely

would be good to meet some sau members as im a newbie to the club.

  5. i have for sale a wolf v4 ecu plug and play for RB25, but i have been told it can fit any RB engine (even RB26 with a slight upgrade from the good ppl at wolf at a cost of about $100)

more current software upgrades are available from the wolf dealership free of charge too, so you get all the benifits of the newest software running your car

    Price is $1000

    Item location is Perth

i am prepared to post at buyers expence, but will only send via registered post

PM if you have any questions

    cheers

  6. i shall investigate this further, they sound like a good idea, more squat is deffinatly required. my rear tyres are 0 camber and fronts at -1 (little better handling).

    cheers

These work very well, i have a set in my car and it is set for traction. One of the best and cheapest mods i have done. Also if your car is lowered and the camber on the back is out, try looking for some adjustable upper control arms. These will correct the camber issues and get you more tyre contact with the road.
  7. DIY mate!! i had the same problem when i bought my car, wires were like spaghetti on your plate.

if your willing to wait a couple of weeks i can come round and lend a hand+advice+multimeter if you want

(in the middle of exams atm)

edit: if ya want a hand, shoot me a PM

doing it yourself can also cause major problems as i found out last week. T_T
  8. how much power do you have?

i've got 350rwhp +, with 235 on the rear, if i launch it hard i 2issue with traction in 1st but once into 2nd she just goes!

ohh i've also got a few suspension bits and a good wheel alignment setup (only little camber on the rear).

if ur having issue maybe look at buying a good rubber. also what conidtion is ur lsd in?

edit: much easier way to fix your traction problem sell up buy a gtr lol ;p

    Cheers Michael

i got 371hp at rears with 255 R comp semi slicks (super soft rubber)

whole car is in mint contition. (lsd included)

ive got kyb shocks with HKS springs which arent too hard... i was told that to increase the rear weight transfer during launch to put the stockies back in at the rear..... mite work but a pain in the butt to do everytime i wanna boot it

  9. in short, new front chasis rails, new cross member, and a lot of panel work making it all fit

plus the different motor to accomodate the 4wd sump, there are differences between RWD and AWD motors, plus a mountain of other crap to do

can be done, but it won't be cheap

cheers, thats what i wanted to know... hrm, mite just look at flaring rear guards and putting in some massive rims and tyres so i can get traction... currently, when i put my foot down, i can still spin wheels in 3rd and its making drag times suffer...

any ideas for increased rear traction? softer rear springs? wider rubber?

  10. gday all,

im new to sau forums and just would like to say hi,

im also planning modifying my 1997 s2 R33 gts-t into an all wheel drive (taking r33 gtr bits and putting it into mine)

just wanting to know, is it possible? if so, what major parts are needed?

    cheers

  11. gday all, i am posting this gtr up for a work mate who is thinking about selling his gtr.

it has 68000km GENUINE on the clock and has been serviced with moble 1 products. the paintwork and car are just in the best condition i have ever seen. (no chips, dents)

    only problems on the whole car are;

    worn shifter and handbreak boots....

THATS ALL THAT IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR

    it is otherwise comepletely stock.

the buyer is asking $25k and is in no real hurry to sell such a great car. still drives and handles like new.
