  1. The miss is most likely your coilpacks. If you don't want to pay for a new set, which is advisable anyway, you can remove the coilpacks and tightly wrap them in electrical tape or spray them with silicone spray. Be aware though that this is a bandaid fix. Shelling out the money for new coilpacks only has to be done once and then you're set.

    As for the rear, jack up the back of it and have a good look around. At one point the rear of my car was doing very similar and when I jacked it up, I saw that the half shafts on either side were very loose. Another thing to check is after the HICAS was locked, were the wheels aligned? that could account for the squealing tyres..

    Take both 20 blocks and the heads/inlet manifolds for $300. First RB20 I bought ended up having a bottom end knock so I bought a second RB20 with a blown piston to make one good one. Now plans have changed so I'm selling it all. Take the lot for $300. My loss your gain. No turbos or exhaust manifolds.

    3" dump suit RB20/25 $150

    R33 GTR REAR strut brace, $130.

    R33 GTR REAR swaybar, $60.

    Standard R33 GTS-t swaybars - front and rear - $30 each.

    PAIR of 5x114.3 rims, still plenty of meat on the tyres, white, 5-spoke, gutter rash but decent offset. Perfect for skidding. 17x8 I believe. $250

    RB20DET ecu reflashed to suit Series 2 RB25DET w/ 12psi, cooler and exhaust $120

    Also EOI - Genuine Bride Zeta II on Genuine R33 Bride rail, worn on drivers side bolster but seat is still perfectly usable $450.

    Obviously that's in my 31 but its exactly the same just in a 33. Also it's cleaner :)

  7. Hi all,

    Question for anyone who might know or has done it, a friend of mine is stripping out an R33 GTR and I've got dibs on the rear swaybar, rear strutbrace, and the underbody bracing they have (goes from the cradle to the middle of the car?) and I'm curious to see if they'll bolt up to my R33 GTS-t for a quick upgrade. Eventually I'll be going to Whiteline/similar gear but in the meantime if it fits, I'll use it. So if anyone has any advice regarding it all fitting, that'd be great :) I'm sure the rear strut brace will fit but I'm not 100% on the other bits!

Having a mate with a HR31 Passage with an RB20ET in it, and owning my own 1995 R33 Gts-T, I can guarantee the 20ET won't be up to it...yes it'll be different, but there really isn't any point in literally throwing money away working with a 20ET in a 33...the 20ET is so slow it's embarrassing. At the end of the day, if they were any good, Nissan would have used them more frequently :)

    If you want to do something different in the 33, rock a VH41 or VH45. Much cooler, much better performance, much better value. Or, whack a 25 in it and enjoy :woot:
