    I realise this is an old thread, but I thought I'd revive it anyway and see if any more head way has been made. I have an R34 which one day I would like to have an RB30 bottom end running soley on lpg. I have a mate running a dedicated system here in SA who tells me because of the clean burning nature of lpg that he cannot be made to pay for an emmisions test (I've even been in the car as a police officer starts to write a defect notice for an epa emmisions test only to have my mate explain he's running soley on gas, so we were sent on our way!) Given the laws seem to get tougher and tougher every year I'm interested to hear peoples thoughts. I know its a lot of cash up front, but to make the police leave me alone I'd happily rip the fuel tank out and go dedicated gas!

    I bought the car with a pod but then purchased airbox to keep it legal (not cheap considering its just plastic) - Still have pod attachment.

    Tyres have 90% tread

    EBC virtually invisible - have to be looking pretty hard to find it! including wiring etc in engine bay.

    Notice how dark the tint on the back windows is? its not tint as we know it, its in the glass from nissan (NISSAN UV CUT GLASS). Thats how it was when complied and put thru regency - cops cant say shit! They cant ask you to tear off a tint that isnt there! AWESOME!

  3. I feel sorry for ya dude, tryin to sell an auto - especially here! I've been in the same boat in the past, sux ass! Problem is there are manuals here for sale here with kit and mods etc for less than what ur asking, and then average SAU member looks at our cars and says to himeself "How much is this gonna cost on top of the purchase price to convert to a manual?" Unfortunately approx $3K for the conversion means ur asking price has to be around the $5K mark otherwise it just makes more financial sense to buy a manual for $7-$8K in the first place.

    Like I said - it sux ass....

  4. visited the yards around Adelaide today. All R34 turbo coupes selling between $22K-$26K. All with roughly 90,000kms on clock meaning the first thing you have to do after paying stamp duty and transfer is come up with another thousand dollars to pay for a major service! Then 6 months later come up with another thousand dollars to replace the original clutch.....

    Seriously? No-one wants a cheap R34 gtt 5sp coupe?

  5. As the title says, I got a 98 R34 GTT 5spd coupe which I need to swap for an auto. Its not perfect but in the last 12 months Ive probably spent $3K on things like 100K service, dump, front, tie rod ends, cat, ebc and hd clutch. If I was to sell it for $$$ I'd probably ask around $17K as a starting figure.

    My left knee (clutch!) and lower back are stuffed but refuse to drive a falcodore! Truth be told I'm probably 12 months away from not being able to change gear on a regular basis.

    Looking for either a another GTT coupe or a S2 RWD C34 stagea. Given Im downgrading to an auto the cars in question would have to be pretty good (paint, low kms etc) to be a straight swap. Especially the stagea - Ive seen a lot for sale recently at around $13-$14K! Mind you, I'm dont need the cash so if you reckon ur auto is good enough for a straight swap for a manual, bring it on!
