Thaks guys ive checked mine it does 1350rpm in 5th @ 50km/h so 150revs more. doesnt sound too bad. so it could be the design of the car as well it aint too aerodynamic which probably makes the fuel consuption bit worse than on R32. ItaliaZR1 what turbo you running on your R32? very good numbers just wondering what turbo and how lagy is it? im currently running the VG30DET and boost at 14psi. its been chipped to take upto 17psi. car responded well from the previous setting to the new but dont think that turbo will be happy at 17psi. again thanks for your help. i think i leave my diff as it is for the time being till i hit the track and find out the numbers it chucks out.

Hi I have a RB20DET powered Datsun 260z with stock gbox with 4.4:1 LSD. Currently the car accelerates well but the gearchanges are very frequent and the engine doesnt seem to labour much the as the car is around 1100kg. max speed in second is 110 at around 7200rpm. its doing 60kmh in 4th gear at around 2300rpm. it accelerates well and lag is very minimal or non existant considreing it has a larger turbo and longer intercooler piping. though this aint bad but on the highway it chews fair bit of petrol as it does over 3200rpm in 5th at 110km/h. im interested to know at what RPM does a stock driveline r32 GTSt do at 60km/h in 4th gear so i can compare to mine.Alo if someone knows what rpm in 5th gear at 110km/h. if there is much difference ill be looking at changing the diff ratio to 3.9 or 3.7 to improve the fuel economy on long boring trips. as the car is fairly light weight dont think it will impact too much on acceleration for those very short of the line trips. thanks in advance for help.
