  1. Hey man,

Its all good, i need advise too in my thread, and i know what its like when no1 will help you out, i got like 100 or so views with no1 sayin nothing...

Pretty intense job, the gear box has to come off, and while your there u might as well do the clutch. We sell Xtreme clutches at my work if u need a price, probably get the bearing with it..

I done a clutch by myself 1 night and didn't work out too well, i couldn't figure out how to put the clutch fork back on and had a mate come over and finish for me. Depends how good you are swinging a wrench, i have big hands and some of the bolts on the back of the box are a bitch lol..

But yeh glad too help bud,

    Craig.

  2. Thanks mate, i found this vid the other day and tried to go into diagnosis mode but it didnt do it, i've tried like 10 times... i've just bought the car so i might have a look around n see if the is a there is a tomei hicas lock unit on the hicas unit...

Any reason why no1 is helping me out?

Regarding solder joints, i had the tacho out this morning and couldnt see where solder is used, did you have a rundown of this??

    Thanks again.

Oh and i think i know maybe why its not going into diag mode, the after market steering wheel????

  3. Good stuff, this had me baffled for ages.

I took my car to a auto sparky and he advised he had fixed the problem, after picking up the car and started to drive home the thing stopped on a bridge of all places! So i had it towed and started doing the diagnosis myself. Luckily this was the first thing i tried and still runs purfect haha.

Glad to help mate, please let me know if this did the trick.

  4. Hey man, i think i can actually help you out with this 1

Try a different cam angle sensor, its the silver roundish part on the left front of the cam, be make sure to line up the pin when re-fitting.

Or if you cant get a replacement try this, pour some water over the sensor when it stops to cool it down, and if starts quicker than normal, you have the problem sussed

  5. Next job's to fix...

Rev tacho has finally stopped working totally, so i will remove in the morning and suss out.

The hi-cas light comes on now after about 10mins and stays lit, i have searched around and found that it could be due to the after market boss kit, if anyone has pointers for this help me out please. Tried the diagnose function but couldn't seem to get it in that mode??? help...

But after re-calibrating the TPS the car runs like a hot curry

Also i will say that it seems i have had no help from many on here which is a little of a let down

  6. Also, I noticed this plug without any harness going to it>>> ?? WTF!

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Also found this RSR certificate, whats this? ref pic.

  7. Also, check my job on restoring the headlights :-)

    Pretty stoked on the outcome.

I originally intended to keep the lights on the car but found 1 had water in it so i baked and re-sealed.

I have coated the lights in 3 x layers of UV protectant to avoid this happening again.

    Yellowing = GAY

  8. Hi Guys,

Before u flame i did search and was unable to find solutions to my issue.

Ok well i have just purchased a S1 R33GTST and noticed the following...

It seems like something electrical is causing my rev tacho 'OEM' to jump around like crazy, hopefully this is an common issue and can be sorted without too much fuss, i bang the dash a lil and goes back to normal but i dont like beating my car ahaha.

Also can some1 hook me up in Perth area with some strut braces to suit?

    Much thanks,

    Smitherines..
