What is your daily tune for this car and the power its producing?... mad car dude
-
It's very annoying i just cut the antenna wire, so now i just dont listen to the radio because i hated having a 6 foot long antenna poking out the back of my car
-
I see it says, Perth built car... Still currently in Perth i assume?

I've got a r33, 1996 manual, series 2 model.. 113,xxxkm.. White

My 9850BT did not have an antenna wire, i had to hook it up to the amp remote which means its up when ever the head unit is on, my antenna broke recently so i put it down and cut the wire, i actually get better radio reception with the antenna down than with it up.
Also dont get too excited about the BT, the most mine would hold a connection for is 5mins, asked a mate that works at pioneer and they are blaming nokia for the problem, i have an old blue ant hands free and that does not have a problem but a $1000 head unit does..........
Ah yes my bluetooth did the exact same thing. There is a fix however. You download it from the pioneer website (http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/content/support/..._bt_update.html) and save it to your phone and bluetooth it across to the head unit and use the head unit to update its firmware. And now my BT works perfect.
And i think im going to have to make a switch or something, i can't see any way else around it.

Pioneer has a remote wire which is blue with a white stripe. This is what you use to trigger your antenna, it will pop your antenna up when ever the stereo is on.
Hope that helps..
Thanks mate
Will the antenna pop up every time the stereo is 'on'... Or only when radio is activated on the headunit?

I just bought a new headunit for my r33, its a Pioneer 7050BT - Now when i was wiring it up it didnt appear to have an antenna wire of any sort, so its basically just wired up now when the ignition comes on the antenna pops up.
Is there anyway of wiring up this unit so that it only pops up when i turn on the radio rather than having it up all the time? My previous $80 headunit had this antenna feature but not this $500 unit.
If there is someway i can do it that would be great!

Have you had it dyno'd? Power its producing?
Beautiful ride mate, nice work
-
If only i could sell my r33 n/a in time i would buy this
-
Some pictures would be nice
-
Had it dnyo'd? How much power at the wheels?
-
i think i read further back in the thread that you cant do it for a series 2 r33?
Correct me if im wrong, otherwise id certainly do mine as well
-
Hmm thought id get dad to check if it moves or does 'something' while i sat in the car revving around 2grand to like up to 5.... it didnt move... Soo ill still assume its an exhaust valve but i would have assumed it moved or did something at least lol
-
Its a series 2 96' r33
Id certainly say its stock and it doesn't connect to the aerial at all
So id being going with exhaust valve, would this explain when it hits 2grand and to about 3 grand it makes quite a loud... almost vibrating loud noise?
I just assumed it was because the exhaust is stock
Thanks for your replies, at least im pretty certain on what it is now lol

Have you had it dyno'd? What sort of power is it producing at the wheels?

Thanks guys, these pics has to be the best photos I've taken.
Maybe if any of you guys need some photos of your cars, we can go on a photoshoot I'm in SE Melb by the way.
And as for lowering....EVERYONE tells me to lower it, but I don't want to spend too much money on this NA.
How much will the cheapest lowering be? WITHOUT cutting my springs...
I just bought a set of lowered springs, but not the best way to go about it. But it cost me $450 which included labour...
Prob best to get a set of adjustable struts... But then you could look anywhere from around $1000...
So in your case maybe springs to fit the budget.

Well he better stick to the speed limit since he's in a bit of trouble for admitting he was driving 300km/h on public roads
