Thanks Gav.
Was considering different widths coz there was some rims for sale that I had in mind.....but they didnt fit anyways..

Guys,
This may have been covered before, but can someone please clarify...
I'm planning on fitting 18x9" front and 18x10" rear rims on my R32 gtr, with 245's OR 255's all round.
I understand that the rolling diameter front and rear must be the same so ATTESSA is happy.
Since the 10" rim stretches the tyre more than the 9", does this vary the rolling diameter significantly..??...or am i being paranoid again.......
Cheers,
R.

How loud is it? I can't reconcile the number given out by trust with the lack of muffler size...
Its pretty loud.....id say over the "legal" limit anyway. Dont know the decibel figures though.
-
The ti-R for a r32 gtr can be bought from Nengun and they will deliver to Aust. Its a 2 piece, cat back system.

If it makes you feel any better mate I got one on my 32 R at the moment too. For useless reasons also but hey you get that driving an import (well thats what some of the cops recon). Just got to get it off and carry on enjoying the car.......Worst thing is to let these experiences put you off driving an import...!!! Its hard taking time off work though.
They thought my exhaust was loud, and when I asked well do you think its louder than a Harley davidson the officer didnt know what to say except....."you got a straight though muffler".....ohhhh ok thanks for letting me know officer.
Good luck mate......I'm sure I'll need it too.
Cheers,

Hey all
Ive got an r32 gts4 and the front right drive shaft keeps poping out of the uni.
Ive gone through about 9 shafts through a drive shaft joint that cant seem to find the problem.
The shaft just keeps poping out.
Ive :
Replaced engine mounts
Tried a gtr shaft
tried legthening the shaft
but the standard suspension back .....had tien coilovers
any one have any ideas?
thanks
This is the same problem I'm having with my R32 GTR...
Bump......

What size wheels and rubber are you running?
A diffrence here can cause problems.. If you have odd sized rolling diameters it could cause an AWD to spin the front and rear wheels at diffrent rates.. hence, causing things.. like CV's.. to break..
Just a thought..
Thanks for the comment, Yes the rear tyres are more worn than the front.
Shall get new tyres also.

Hi,
I'm after a driveshaft for R32GTR (front right).

Most importantly the part number of the Nismo GT LSD Pro sticker is:
99992 - RN380
I better get me that sticker.....

just noticed in another thread actualy. that hks make a "drag" c.v shaft... not sure if its an old product or you can still get them... im assumingtheyre stronger
Thanks, but I'm not making huge power....standard internals and standard turbos......
-
ive broken the same side c.v shaft in a r32 gtr before, that was due to a close to redline launch, replaced it with a 2nd hand c.v shaft and its been fine ever since... so im guessing it was on the way out, not caused by any particular problem.....
are you replacing with reco'ed?2nd hand? new?
I replaced it with second hand item.....the inner cv just seemed to "pop" out..
-
Anyone else had this problem with the front inner cv popping out....??

How do I check if the ATTESSA transfer case is ok..?
The gaurd is just above the tyres (see pic).....was your mates lower than this..?
The other thing is that the rear tyres are pretty worn compared to the front, but I thought this would just cause it to go into 4WD when the rear starts to spin...?
Cheers,

Hi guys,
Wonder if anyone can me help here..
Last night I broke the SECOND front drivers side inner CV within like 3 weeks.!!
This happened both times when under hard acceleration.
I did lower the car recently prior to this happening but not sure if this has anything to do with it...though I've seen GTR's lower than mine...??
Could it be something to do with the front diff...?
Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening.?
I'll have to spend another couple of hrs installing another drive shaft, but hope it'll be the last time.
Pics below.

Brackets are easy to weld up BUT legally you will need Eng certs I believe.

Anyone know how to get an empty front cut removed from the front yard or how i can dispose of it.
Mate, look in the quokka, there are heaps of adverts for wreck removal services....sometimes they even pay you for it.
If its a front cut they wont pay you, but will take it from you and then sell it to the scrap yards.
I've had a few removed, PM me if you cant find anyone, I'll see if I still got the number for the guy I last used.
Cheers

Were you around the Beechboro area..?.. I saw a bayside blue 34 GTR a couple of days ago.....looked very nice.

Thanks guys.
Tending towards the standard PFC at this stage, as its seems to be all I require and cheaper for inst etc..
Cheers,
-
Thanks Beer Baron
Ljetro is just the normal PFC
Cool.
Been reading from the link below and there seems to be no real advantage going with the Djetro.
http://paulr33.sauvic.com.au/docs/powerfc-...erfc-faq.htm#61
Standard/Ljetro PCF seems to be the go-er at this stage. Anyone else want to enlighten me with their experiences or recommendations. I want to order a unit soon so I can start the 5-6week wait.
Cheers,

well the Ljetro gets better economy as it runs MAFs instead of the twin map sensors on the Djetro version. they both come with base maps to start from. MAF sensors effectively measure air density/flow where as map sensors just measure pressure so under lots of condition the MAF sensor gives a finer reading.
they both cost the same to tune, but the big difference is the Djetro costs a lot more to install as you need to remove the plenum to fit the pressure feeds for the map sensors (unless you want to risk dropping swarf into the engine). the Ljetro of course is just plug in. BUT I would suggest that 300rwkw updraged MAF sensors is a good idea. either VG30s or Nismos etc. standard 26 Mafs will hit 5.115v at about 260rwkw. you can still tune a car with them to about 300rwkw or even more if you want, but it's much nicer to have a sensor that is still giving usable readings right to peak power/air flow.
Thanks for the response, very informative.
Bit confused with this Ljetro..?.....is this another name for the standard PFC...?,..cant seem to find it on the Nengun or Greenline webpages.
What would be the go then..... Standard, Djetro, Ljetro...?? Dont want to spend more than I need too..
Trying to determine which one is best suited for me.
Cheers,
-
For most setups both tune the same and one takes no longer than the other, the std PFC is good for whatever AFm you choose to use. i tend to use the d-jetro for radically cammed engines as it actually tunes up quicker... generally speaking the std PFC will offer better fuel economy.
Thanks alot for the info about tuning(I thought standard comes with a base tune, where djetro had to be tuned from scratch.?).
So it really then depends whether I can achieve 300rwkw with standard AFM's......is this possible....or do I need Z32's...??
-
Guys can anyone advise as to whether a standard PFC is sufficient for 300rwkw with standard internals or djetro required.?
What power figures require the djetro..?
I'd rather not get the djetro if not required as I've been told that it costs alot more to tune etc.
Its for a 32gtr.
