  2. Anyone know exactly what's done to the cop cars?

I know Holden cop cars get a heavy duty wiring loom for accessories like lights and sirens, speedo head goes up in 2kmh increments instead of 5 kmh.

The marked white Commodores get 15"stockies all round with 225/65/15 tyres (wider than standard) lowered FE2 suspension from the SS's models.

Highway persuit cars get smaller 17" wheels instead of the standard 18"inch wheels, the auto can be pulled back from Drive into Second gear without using the button on the gear shift to shift down and some get a shit yellow paint job however most persuit cars are white with an orrange strip down the sides.

As far as ECU upgrades go they are a myth. All servicing is carried out as per normal by Holden dealerships but is also logged in a special folder held at the dealership. After a high speed chase the brakes and brake fluid has to be inspected and/or changed and if a tyre is showing signs of abnormal wear or they get a puncture they must be replaced as opposed to repaired

  3. Afternoon all,

I work as a new car salesperson at a Volkswagen dealership and I have a client of mine who is expressing interest in a new VW Golf GTI. He currently owns an Australian delivered R32 GTR which he is looking to sell.

The owner is the 3rd owner and has owned the vehicle since 24,000klms. The car currently has 120,000klms on it with documentation. It is burgandy in colour, completely accident free and is stock standard apart from Bilstein shock absorbers and is mildly lowered. I have run my eye over the car and it is immaculate.

The reason why I ask this question is because neither myself or the owner know what this car is worth in todays market. I turn to the Skyline Australia community for some trusted advice.

    Any help would be appreciative.

  4. I would prefere no negative feedback mate and no im not desperate to sell the car. It sits in my garage for a month at a time undercover and doesnt get driven so its no concern to me if it sits there for another couple of months.

I have been a member of SAU since 2003 now and the more exposure you can get when selling a product the better.

If somebody likes the car they will buy it - end of story

  5. I have a 1998 VT Clubsport Series 1 5.0 Automatic build 781. It is Diablo red in colour and has done 37,000 genuine kilometers with full history.

I have had this car now for 9 months and my original plans were to put a Stroker crank in it and get some more horsepower out of it. I changed my mind because its just to nice a car to "bastardise". I purchased the car from a guy who used it only for sunday driving.

When I bought the car it had the following

    - Factory fitted 2 way elecronic sunroof

    - Window tint

Since I bought the car I have fitted the following.

    - Brand new genuine HSV VX GTO Wheels

    - Pioneer audio system worth $3500 (All professionaly installed and tuned)

    - K & N Pannel Filter

    - King Springs - Low 30mm (Not fitted)

    - VT Series 2 clear indicators

    - VX Clubsport interior door handles (Chrome)

I have all the original parts to be refitted if buyer would like. The original wheels are fitted with the original Potenza S02 tyres and are still at around 60% tread.

The car would be the perfect vehicle for a collector. I will be sad to see this car go but I would rather someone enjoy the vehicle for what it is as opposed to myself who wants a huge horsepower car.

I take pride in caring for the car. It is washed every time it comes out of the garage and warmed up for 5 mins before driving.

Asking price for the car is $24,000 standard + any accessories that are wanted

Please either PM me or Call me on 0412 115 205. Please only genuine enquiries.

  7. I was just curious to hear if anyone has seen my old Skyline kicking about. I have heard mixed stories including that the car has been written off. Its a 1996 R33 SII GTST in gunmetal grey and the number plates are MSPEC2. Awesome car.

I would be interested to hear whos got it and how its going!

    Cheers

  8. Im just about all out of ideas for a new mobile phone ringtone. So my question is

Whats your mobile ring tone at the moment?

Does anyone have a good ringtone they could upload the file onto the forums just for a bit of fun?

  9. I must say i do enjoy a the lamb kebab experience.

Typcial lamb kebab order would be double meat, lettuce, onion and double garlic sauce. Its what i like to refer to as the "full bad breath pack"

Working in sunny Dandenong also means i have a large selection of quality kebab outlets. My choice - Donner Kebab in Yarramen. Its a bit of a mission to get there (driving past the dandenong train station and trying not to get car jacked or have my HSV maloo R8 jacked up whilst sitting at the traffic lights and having the 19inch wheels stolen from underneath me) but its defenetly worth it

Donner Kebab in Yarramen - I salute you :-)
