  1. 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 GTST - 123,000km - 2 Door, Manual

Car was purchased by myself 5 years ago and has been my daily driver since. It is currently registered until August 2014. Car will be sold without a roadworthy (and as such I will return the plates to VicRoads upon purchase).

Car has been great but it is time for a family car. Car is priced to sell.

I am the first owner in Australia and purchased the car with 70,000km on the odometer. It now has 123,000km.

There are no major problems with the vehicle and it runs well.

The car is in good condition for its age. Minimal scratches to the paintwork. The steering wheel leather is quite worn (as can be seen in the photographs).

    Rear Spoiler
    Pod-Filter Air Intake
    Nismo Dashboard
    Sony Xplode CD Player
Sub-Woofer and Amplifier in the boot

The turbo no longer 'kicks' like it used to. I haven't replaced or had it looked at as I don't have a real need for speed!

Car is located in the South East suburbs. Call me to arrange an inspection and test-drive. Chris - 0400 645 512

  2. Hey guys, taken my car to 2 mechanics now (a mechanic and an electronics guy) cause it the rev keeps shooting up to 3k, then dropping out and repeat which results in the engine constantly cutting out when at lights etc unless my foots on the accelerator :S

Neither of them know what it was an have sent me on my way. I had a look at the recomendations thread but it seemed to be all about performance and parts and cosmetics. I just want the problem fixed so I was after a normal mechanic who knows something about cars... its an r32gtst.

Can anyone recomend someone, im out south east suburbs, a mechanic that you recomend etc?

Is a normal mechanic usually qualified enough to look at imports/turbo's or will I have to go to a specialist mechanic?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. I have been to "Tri Honda" a couple of times and they seem good (maybe not great but good) but i think RACV are really good to go with. Pity they won't come out to look at imports :P

  4. Thanks guys :D

I'm already feeling the money thing. Gotta fill up again (50litres in 3 days :O) but i had to drive around to show my mates + uni etc. :) Its worth it anyway! Plus i bought the pod filter and some new speakers for it. Turbo timer next i think.

I keep trying to make eye contact with other skyline drivers to give a thumbs up etc. but no success yet :) I'm sure if it was one of you guys you'd return it!

Going from a lancer to a 32gtst makes it feel like a ferrari!!!

Makes me want a GTR even more. I took a girl for a drive today and she described it as faster than a roller coaster

  5. Sorry about late reply, but i have an excuse! I've been driving everywhere :P

    Nah its not a GTR (cause i'm 19), got a gts-t. GTR when i'm 21 maybe.

    Everything is good.

I'll get pics up when i get em.

Only thing is when the heating/aircon is on there is like a double knocking noise coming from the engine (sounds a bit like a heart beat...) every 5 seconds or so and the idle drops to like 300...

Hope its not a big problem but i wanna get it fixed asap. Not sure what it could be, it sounds like its coming from the erea around the pod filter (although its obviously not the pod... unless its resting on something it shouldn't, cause me and my mates put it on...).

Any ideas what it could be?

Let some of my commodore mates drive it and they are jealous!!! :(

    Loving it :)

  6. Til i get my first skyline!!! (Hopefully first of many ).

    I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Black 32!!!

Made this post to waste 1 of the 50 remaining excruciating minutes!!!!

    CAN'T WAIT!!!

  7. Yeah that's exactly what i'm going to do :teehee: Because i got an email from vicroads stating it is ok to drive.

    PS. I put a deposit down on a 32 today ;):D:D!!!!

$10,400 with strut brace and exhaust thrown in, 92 with spoiler and 125,000 (58,000 on new nismo dash). Just bought a mushroom pod. Can't wait til i pick it up :worship:

    Now i'm a real skyliner!

  8. I know this is an old thread but people need to be VERY careful what 'information' they provide.

It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that any vehicle you drive is not a high powered motor vehicle. To ensure this you may need to obtain Weight Bridge Certificate to confirm the tare mass of the vehicle and check with the manufacturer or in owner's handbook for engine power.

It is not 'simply factory weight' as MANY others have said.

While giving advice is fine, people shouldn't specify if they are uncertain.

  9. dw problem sorted doing a payment plan they are happy with $50 per month....

@ least the skline does have full comp soo im all covered

but yeah thanks anyways...for the help evan tho most of it was negative

So its costing you more than third party would be per year...

    But you can't afford insurance?

  10. Hey guys, just wondering if this car would get EPA'ed. (Not for being too loud but for the aftermarket intercooler with an exhaust?).

"turbo back stainless exhaust system, front mount intercooler, turbo timer, blitz cold air intake"

I've read the documents but not really sure what else get catagorised as another 'air intake'.

I assume "blitz cold air intake" makes in an EPA issue coupled with the aftermarket intercooler?
