  1. hello again. i put a boost gauge on the car today and it is running between 11-14psi. seems like 12psi most of the time, the car usually runs just over and holds 14psi when it was running correctly. now i've checked hoses etc and all seem to be ok. the two running off the boost solenoid look at bit old but they have always and never caused a problem in the past. BUT...on further investigation i have found that the injectors on 4th and 5th cylinder appear to be leaking from where they connect to the fuel rail. is this what is causing my high idle possibly? the car is going on the dyno at created performance next week to see what the hell is goin on with high idle and slight lack of power, but i would like to figure it out before i take it there.....not to avoid cost of checking/repairing, more so i can see what shes really got at the wheels knowing that its running correctly! Cheers guys. im gonna chuck a boost gauge on tomorrow n hopefully that tells a tale. i had a similar thing happen on a mitsi gto that turned out to be a leaking hose under the inlet manifold on the old twin turbo v6. i imagine its the same deal here. Are there any hoses other than turbo outlet that are known more than others to leak?

Hi guys, before i go checking every hose etc on the car. i was wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows off the top if their head how to fix it? 1990 r32 gtr, standard ecu. this car has for some reason decided to idle at 1100rpm for a few weeks now. stil runs smooth and nothing has been touched in the engine bay. it also feels a bit underpowered to me. any ideas?

I have for sale a full set of 4 Gmax aspire mags and tyres. they are less than a year old and are like brand new. the sizes are 18x9.5" with 265 35 18 tyres and 18x8.5" with235 40 18 tyres. they come with all wheel nuts and locknuts. they are currently on an r32 gtr and fit fine except being a 4wd car they are not really suited to the car being different sized tyres. for this reason iam sadly selling these wheels as they do look great on the car. i purchased these myself new and still have the reciept for proof they are not stolen:) they cost me $2900 all up. im after $2000 for the lot. i also would be willing to straight swap for some 18" mags like rays etc to suit an r32 gtr. or wateva may suit my car and cash difference. i basically just want the right wheels on my car! located in melbourne. contact Carl anytime on 0420783616 or [email protected] i would prefer cash on pick up or possibly can be delivered in victoria within reason.
  6. ok took the day off work! pulled out both afms, they looked fine but resoldered them anyway and also took out all the coils and sealed the outsides with the selleys 401 silicon. put it all back together and the car goes good as new, so cheers heaps for your help!
  7. cheers for your reply, it started with a few coughs at idle and the odd mis when driving, nothing major. then it was stalling and it would try to recover and hold at about 1300rpm, took it to nissan and a wire on the afm plug was broke, they fixed it and it ran smooth and no more staling etc. now about a week on this seems related but different. first noticed it waiting at red light when it decided to idle between 100-200rpm didnt stalll but didnt try to recover either. gave it some gas n it went away. knew something was wrong though so all week i have just been taking it easy now its cutting in and out all over the place from a little misfire to fully cutting out for a second? did it the whole last 5 mins that i drove it tonight. so shes retired from being the work taxi for now;) also note the car has no mechanical knocks, taps etc
  8. can anybody please help? my car has now developed quite a bad misfire under any condition, it almost feels like someones turning the igition on and off? i was told air flow meter. any other options? ive had a look at all the coils and they dont look cracked, also the car was plugged in at nissan this time last week, they found a loose wire on the afm plug, fixed it and it went smooth again but seemed very sluggish to me. now its misfiring badly. does everything show up on a consult check or can things be missed? also is there anyone in victoria you guys would recommend other than nissan (who dont seem to know f**k all! :laughing-smiley-014: )
  9. yeah the guy at nissan checked the top afm and found the wire on the plug was broken, so the top one should be ok but i doubt he checked the lower one. just another note, the car does have a very small flat spot when you 1st put ya foot on the gas off idle, also does the same if your cruising along with ya foot just touching the throttle but stil its very small. also whos ' the man' in victoria to take a gtr to get work done? im from nz n not been in vic long so i wouldnt have clue?!
  10. hi there ive owned my skyline for about three months now. had an awesome time with it until recently. my car had a misfire and was showing all signs of an afm problem. i took a risk n dropped it off to NISSAN! suprisingly they did their job and found the fault. it was a broken wire on the afm plug. so $170 later i was driving smoothly again. BUT! it was down on power, running smooth but just seemed a bit more like gtst on high boost than a gtr :laughing-smiley-014: well it dont stop here. two days later im waiting at a red light when the car decides to idle between 100-200rpm? giv it a rev n it seems to go away. now a few more days have gone by n it seems to be happenin while driving aswel, under load or cruising down hill! kinda feels like someones slowly pullin up the handbrake then lettin it off, so not a violent misfire. as i said it was at nissan so it has been plugged in and came up with no other faults and didnt present this prob while in their hands. ive got a few ideas. fuel filter, pump? coils is the obvious one. ive taken them all out and didnt see any cracks that ive heard about, only a slight burn mark on each side where the metal goes around them. im sure it gets f*kn hot so is prob normal. it has new platinum plugs and is relativly unmoddified enginewise. any input would be much appreciated
