    has anybody seen the new ad for top gear australia on tv?

    anyway here it is, its freakin funny lol

    that's a great add. unfortunately it'll probably be better than the australian version of the tv show whenever it comes out.

    soo how was everyones weekend?

    was pretty good. the horse races at caloundra were ok. but couldnt really complain coz it was free ;) mates 21st saturday night was good too. got tomorrow off work and i think ill need it to recover :D

    R34 Gt-t Speakers

    My cousin wants to know if anyone has put 65mm speakers into they're R34 Gt-t 2 door, and if so, is there a template somewhere you can pm him?

    ive put these in my car

    they have a mounting depth of 2 1/4 inches which is approx 57 mm. there was a fair bit of room to spare behind them so 65mm deep speakers should fit no worries. if not its quite simple to cut out a bit of mdf or similar to make a spacer.

    Definately getting one of the twin tip ones. my ex has one of the cannon ones on her 33. sounds as quiet if not quieter than stock exhaust when the valve is closed and nice clean louder note when open and you dont get that annoying drone on the highway either.

    hahaha i only threw up that one time, and its because you were spikin my drinks. i know you want me but its not gonna happen :ermm: LOL (yes yes i know, drinking again, but i've gotta do something to deal with being awake.)

    hmm how was everyones weekend?? i saw quite a few of ou guys around. :P

    went n played golf at the course next to the plaza with some mates n lets just say they wont be letting us back anytime soon. wet grass + a carton of coronas that lasted 1 hour between 3 of us + golfcarts. :(

    Few Car Audio Questions

    Ok i just bought my new car and the previous owner must have had a field day with the electrics...

    Problem List.

    I have a Master Switch to give power to car and a button to start the car...

    My dash lights, parkers and taillights turn on via fog light switch on dash (turns boost gauge back light off)

    Normal switch on dash turn head lights on...

    Head unit is a JVC-DVD Head unit (KD-DV4306) It has 2 RCA outs and im trying to run a

    4 channel amp, do i need to buy a new head unit and what plugs do i plug from the HU-AMP

    I get plenty of interference from car noise (revs and shit... you know what i mean) the RCA cables are

    running down the centre of the car and the power cable is running down the drivers side of the car they

    only meet under the back seats. Do i need to run these as far away from each other and how do i get rid

    of this interference? These are all new cables which i have ran myself and the kit prob set me back $60 if

    that helps at all... Is it the amp itself? If i buy a 5 channel kicker amp would i need to grab a new Headunit?

    To cancel out the noise buy some ground loop isolators. although the fact that you only spent $60 on the wiring kit suggests poor quality cables so i would be looking at getting some good quality RCA's too. As for the amp if you plan on running a sub i recommend getting a headunit with sub out. (should be 3 pairs of RCA's in the back of headunit. 1pair front 1pair rear 1pair sub. if you only have 1pair it can all be run but wont sound as good and all balancing will have to be done on amp only balance on headunit would be left right.

    Here is a shot of the connections. how would i got about hooking up two amps? i can only see one pair of rca outs, can i use a rca splitter? im thinking of just putting it up for sale and getting a nice h/u instead

    im running RCA's to my eclipse 4ch amp and then using the preouts on that to run to my 2nd amp (boss P.O.S.) as you might tell ive got some of the good stuff and the headunit and boss are temp items. bass from headunit is rubbish as there is no sub out.

    if your amps dont have pre outs just buy a couple of RCA splitters (should be found no worries in car audio stores)

    got one in my r34. sound quality is insanely crappy. get massive pop through the amps when i turns it on. screen goes jumpy every time i eject a cd. if you are expecting crappy quality (and you should for how much they are worth) then they are fine. i got one expecting it to be crappy but its just a temporary solution until i have the $2500 i need to build the carpc setup i want.
