i been sussing out a gt40r for it, as i can get them for relatively cheap, and they look like a good turbo, would it be too big tho????? i wouldnt mind if it didnt hit full spool till around 3-4ish k rpm

ye with the one turbo i can use factory manifolds etc, works out heaps easier just using one, just wanna upgrade turbo to a decent unit i can push over 12 psi coz the factory turbo is ceramic etc

nah, 300rwhp, to begin with, but after upgrades hoping for around 500ish rwhp, does it matter that the turbo is suited for a diesel??? i have thought about twins but im trying to keep the build cost at a minimum, twins would be good coz of the v configuration, tho im happy with a big single

thought about getting the std one hi-flowed tho for 1kish i can buy a whole new turbo...

dont really wanna push it too hard, aiming for around 300ish hp at the wheels, with room later on, once funds permit injector upgrade, tune etc etc

hey guys, have a vq30det engine and gearbox removed from halfcut. excellent condition, 58,000k, no play in turbo, comes with everything from halfcut except for power steering pump basically. comes with all ecu's, auto gearbox, turbo, all manifolds, radiator, brakes if need be, dumppipe etc looking for 2k firm, bought about 2 months ago for project but daily shit itself so need funds. can supply original receipt, bought from aaip item located in brissie northside can take pics if need be but theres not much to really tell in the pics, welcome to come have a look number is 0434556190 calvin cheers

Hey guys, just doing some searching..... found a place called Port City in victoria will build you a RACE rb30 engine to coincide with the rb25 head for $3500, whuch includes: - chemically cleaned block - crack tested - deck machined - bored and honed - cam bearings - hyperutectic or forged pistons - crank tested, balanced and polished - preped rods arp rod bolts - moly rings - ultrasonic thick the block - torque plate hone bores and 600g finish - all new race spec big ends, cam bearings, thrust washers, brass welsh plugs, full gasket set. All fitted, as this is what im getting done i just need to find a rb25 head.... of course if its not a race engine your after they have kits ranging from kit a - kit d, this one is kit d, so the others are cheaper. kit B would be perfect for a street rb30 and this kit is 1800 + fitting which is about 350. so really its not as dear as everyone thinks, plus this is done by a shop, not me, it would cost me MORE to do it myself... there number is (03) 5523 6968 there in portland, victoria. i live in brissie and it cost $150 for freight there too.....

i was goin to use a r33 rb25de engine for the conversion, tho im waying up weither to just buy a rb26dett head?? the only thing is price... i was going to use the rb25de head with rb25det springs and maintain the vvt... even though i get the de loom with the engine i will probably just hunt down a rb25det r33 loom or can i use the r32 rb20det loom??? cubes, i havent got to the knock sensores yet though what do u think would be the best approach as u have done it all.... thanks guys!!!

ok guys i need help im only a newbie.... i am currently rebuilding the rb30/25 to put into a lh torana 4 door. i have read the first 86 pages in the last 2 days and i just need to ask one thing... i am going to buy a rb25de engine for the head and bolt on acc, though can i use the non turbo loom in a turbo application with a power fc?? or should i lok at buying a rb25det wiring/loom for ease and better use....... HELP!!
