  1. if you dont want to cut the chassis to fit the pipework

then get a return intercooler kit that uses your factory pipework

no mess, no cutting, and uses the factory pipes

HKS make one, it aint cheap tho

    and BLITZ do one too

    But are they for R32's?

I know that you can definitely get one for 33's and 34's, but i haven't been able to find any info on 32's, pictures and alike.

Anybody seen any? or have a return flow kit on there 32?

  2. Hi,

I am very sorry :) if someone has addressed this question before but. I am sure there are some legal issues involved with fitting an FMIC.However I am not really interest in the EPA side of things, but rather the modifications required to fit the Intercooler.

Since I have an R32 GTS-t and from what i understand modifications are required to the area down beside the battery box to fit the return piping for an FMIC, isnt this part of the chassis (Therefor illegal)?

Furthermore Reo bar modification is also required (Legal?).

I ask this because I am pondering on whether or not to get an RS Spec HDI Intercooler kit (Core Dimensions: 600 x 300 x 94) and fit it behind a stock r32 frontbar.

(BTW I am in the NT)

Thanks in advance to help anyone can provide

once again i am sorry if someone has already address this question (I searched the forums to no avail)

  3. Hi,

What unit do i need to use to utilise the pressure sensor?

    Data Sampling Map

Do i use, Throttle Position, Airflow Hotwire, Greddy Pressure sensor, Relative Pressure or Charge efficiency.

Then i need to sample the data, Copy the data then paste that to airflow output map?

    Is That correct?

    Cheers

    Greg

  4. Hi

I personally have not interfaced the the emu, i am a little worried about stuffing up my engine. So on Tuesday i am taking it to a tuner to have a look at it however since he has not had experience with the greddy emanage ultimate, i have to find all this stuff out myself.

So, so far i need to:

Open your file and update the emu,

Check the wiring and jumper settings,

Use the Data logger to find issues,

Most tuners in the territory are used to powerfc's, haltech's or Wolf3D's and since i dont know how to tune and have an automatic, i have to decypher the emu for the tuner i use.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  5. If your maps are all at 0 adjustments then you shouldnt have a problem. download and run the file below, its got 0 adjustments and is set up for your rb20. as long as you've wired in the EMU right it should work 100%. I've also set up data logging so you can look at all of the right parameters when diagnosing problems.

Cheers, i was beginning to think no one used the emu

I'll see how it goes, i had trouble wiring it up initially and had to take it to one of the tuners here, apparently the injector connections were back to front someone had messed with the factory computer loom. He said that all of the setting were set to zero and hence i should be able to drive it around,

    However....

Right now when you depress the accelerator there is a delay before the engine kicks in and at idle it pulses from 850 to 1250 rpm.

Furthermore once when i was driving it after it was installed, if i depressed the accelerator the car spluttered and sounded like it was going to stall, i then pulled over and restarted and it was fine?

Once again Thanks for your response, i appreciate it!

  6. Hi all

I am on of the only people in the NT that has a greddy emu. No one has experience with them here so does anyone have base Airflow maps for the Greddy pressure sensor, or do i need to collect the data on a dyno like this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/ma...p;hl=greddy+emu thread suggests.

I havent been able to drive my car for a while, so if anyone can help it would be great.

    My car is:

    1992 r32 GTS-t Auto - no mods

    Thanks in Advance

    Greg

(Also i am having issues with the car shifting from 850 - 1250 rpm when idling and the car running too rich, Do i just need a tune?)

  7. Yeah I have used ubuntu Linux since the hoary hedgehog (5.04), It's very stable as long as you don't try to compile your own kernel :D. The progress that has been made over the past couple of years has been amazing, moving from being primarily a command line based system to GUI (with gnome of course or KDE with Kubuntu)

Jokes aside its been great using Linux, especially with the progress WINE has made, you might not need windows soon (that includes gaming), not to mention compiz fusion and avant-window-navigator or kiba-dock for desktop effects.

  8. Does the GTR stuff like that fit on a Gtst?^ thats very sick, check the width of the wheels lol

In this circumstance, of course money is an object (since anything will work if you throw money at it).

So are there Any Suppliers of R32 GTS body kits in Australia that are trustworthy and aren't vertex or uras?

Also there is a group buy on for the wide body, for >$1200 if I remember right?

  9. i had an obsession with this kit for a while, r34 front with r32 back, pretty sick. but i thought f*k that im repn R32's not r34's, even though i have much respect for both.

i investigated and saw a few shit jobs here and there and scared me away. stick with ur r32, if u like r34's then get an r34.

i seen it on ebay for $1400 just kit no head lights or labour. im after the vielside e3 back end on my r32 f*kn PHAT. then chuk some phat wheels 10inch+ on to the rear.

    http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m166/fa...ide32GTR019.jpg

    check it ^^

I Have a r32 gtst, so my body kit options are rather limited (In terms of supply in Australia). It seems like they try to force vertex and uras kits down your throat, or just sell the front bar. Thats the only reason why i was looking at the conversion guards. r32 Gtr body kits look fkd on a gtst due to the pumped front and rear guards and i am not sure if they fit. that and i dont want to be one of those people that stick GTR stuff on their GTS-T.

So where can I get kits for r32 GTS-T's?

That ^ kit is sick BTW, it looks like trial front bar? with wide rear quarters.

  10. Can someone post the link to xanavi screen removal if they know where it is?

    Sync signals on oscilloscope,

The CSYNC output should look like this:

    ---_------_-----_-----_-----_-----_-----_---

And once for every field (once in 1/50 or 1/60 second) like this

    ---_------______-_____-______-----_------

But what about Hsync and Vsync

  11. After finding out the handbrake and sitting still, I'll think I'll try wiring straight into the back of the TV, and since the radio has an absolutely useless aerial, It wont be much of a loss (can only get 104.1), I'll just have to figure out how to disassemble the console.

No doubt there would be some info on the web for disassemble and oscilloscope signal identification .

  12. unfortunately that's where my knowledge comes to a grinding halt. I don't know what the signals look like on a oscilloscope.

But I gather if you cut the wires going into the tv and identify the hsync vsync and RGB you can match them up from the sync splitter and hence picture?

My problem would be the disassembling of the intricate and deceivingly simple dashboard. Also by doing the above would you effectively brick the cd player? i.e the screen that displays the track number and allows you to select the track?
