  1. Just a guard roll, nothing more :)

Well done, it's flush and just right, I wouldn't touch it any further haha.

Do you think without the guard roll you'd only get 235's in there?

Are you using rear upper control arms?

  2. Thanks brah.

    Fronts: 18x8.5 +32 235/40's

    Rears: 18x9.5 +38 265/40's

Would like to drop tyre sizes though.

Got Bilstein shocks with circlip grooves.

Damn how'd you get 265's in there, done any guard work?

  3. Yes, it's an R32 strut bar.

Charles89 - I intentionally aligned it that way. From that picture if I rotate it clockwise only 1 edge will be in contact with the MBC (it's that much offset). So that one gold edge will be sitting against that diagonal bit, hope that makes sense.

blind_elk - is yours a Neo? Forgot to mention that mine is a Neo, but you can probably see that from where the traction control module would be mounted.

  4. I'm trying to fit a Nismo s-tune strut bar with brake stopper to my r32 gts4 rb25det.

Firstly the brake stopper didn't line up so I've had to just rotate it for now, so it's misaligned but at least two edges are in contact with the master cylinder.

When trying to connect the bar - at the driver's side - the bar won't line up in the hole properly so the bolt doesn't go in. This is because the bar goes directly over the intake pipe and fouls on the last black joining hose.

It appears to be just millimetres too high. From what I've seen the rb20 plenum/intake is positioned closer to the firewall so it's not a problem.

Anyone else come across this issue? Would washers or spacers under the plates be okay?

    Cheers.

  5. My gearbox feels sticky and harsh when cold and only really feels good once it's really hot after being driven hard.

The gearbox has been changed at some point in it's life, but I don't know if it's a gts-4 or gtr box, because the R32 gts-4 can take both right?

When searching the oil guides for R32 GTR (because there's no gts-4), Penrite's guide says to use their '80W-90 gear oil', and Nulon says to use their 'SAE 80 Smooth Shift'.

What should I do, try G70 before flushing it and changing to one of the above?

  6. I was desperate to get a change done today so I just got the HPR 10. My oil reeked of fuel :(

niZmO_Man my (local) Autobarn had 10 Tenths Premium but unfortunately not the Premium 0W-50 which is what Penrite was recommending for me.

I’ll be getting some Racing 10 (10W-40) from Repco as per the suggestions above.

    Thanks guys!

  7. Penrite make it clear on their website that the '10 Tenths Racing 10 (10W-40)' is a synthetic mixed of group 4 and 5 which is great, but my local doesn't stock it!

So I've got to settle for the HPR 10 (10W-50). I've tried searching this thread but can't find an answer as to what group Penrite HPR is.

    Anyone know?

  8. Hi,

I bought these generic coil packs new for my RB20DET off eBay. I used them for barely 1000kms before the engine was removed for a conversion.

From memory these are compatible with RB25DET Series 1 also, along with R32 and R33 GTR's, but NOT later models i.e. R34's or Series 2 RB25's and Neo's. But please correct me if I'm wrong.

    $100 + postage.

    Cheers,

    Haley
