  1. As far as I understand, they are Howars HP-10R (as per a fellow SilviaWA member's advice) - http://www.howars.co.jp/

I have never heard of Howars rims, however they are good quality and light. Sit flush on my S15. Rims have some minor rash - has been touched up. Barely noticeable.

Have fitted these to a friends R33 and they sit about 2mm inside the guards.

    215 on the front - 90% tread
235 on the rear - 40% tread; still legal.

    After $700 negotiable.

    Cheers

    Pics in gumtree link

    http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/noranda/cars-vans-utes/2000-nissan-silvia-coupe/1037058140

The car is in very good condition, with minor stone chips on the front bumper from consistant freeway driving. Factory pearl white, 6-speed manual, black-top VCT SR20DET.

    Modifications are limited to -
    -Jasma approved/stamped cat-back exhaust system
-Trust front-mount intercooler (mounted in the correct fashion i.e. no cutting the reo bar)
-Greddy Profec B-Spec II electronic boost controller
-Bridgestone NPG coilovers (no leaks or squeaks)
    -Howars HP-10R 17" x 8" (front) & x 9" (rear) +28 offset all round forged Japanese rims
    -6000K HID headlights
    -LED taillights
    -Black genuine Nismo gear knob
-Brand new tyres front (215/45/17) & rear (235/45/17)

Audio is provided by a full Pioneer system. 2 x amplifiers mounted in the boot, 1 x 12" Pioneer sub-woofer, Pioneer bluetooth/handsfree head-unit & Pioneer speakers all round.

Being a Japenese Domestic Market specification S15 Silvia, it has the factory-fitted T28 ball-bearing turbocharger, along with the larger capacity 480CC injectors.

The vehicle has been lowered slightly with the coilovers, however it does not scrape over any speed-bumps/driveways.

Engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, fuel filter and transmission oil was replaced less than 2,000KM ago.

$17,500 - All reasonable offers considered.

    Call/text any time. NO EMAILS.

Scammers & low-ballers need not apply.

  3. Greetings,

I have done some trawling and been unable to find any topics relating to car transport specifically from Tasmania to WA. I have requested a few quotes from different companies - all seem to be around $2,300 for door to door transport.

My brother is in the process of purchasing a 2007 Audi RS4 sedan, bone stock.

Just after some advice if anyone has done this or has had any experience with transporting their vehicles from Tasmania to Perth?

Bare in mind, the RS4 is a relatively low car from factory, so the transport company would need to be careful not to damage anything.

    Any advice/recommendations/etc are greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Jace.

  4. No one knows for 100% sure if it damages your turbo-charger. It is nothing more than a speculation.

All you have to do to get the sound is block off your blow-off valve. Instead of the air venting via the blow-off valve, it travels back through the intake across the blades of the turbine spinning forward. The resultant noise you hear is commonly referred to as flutter.

Don't listen to most of the tools here saying not to do it. If you like the sound, then do it. Nothing more than personal preference.

As stated, no-one can prove if it actually damages the turbine blades. XR6 Turbo Falcons do it from factory with nothing more than a pod-filter - you do not need to close the blow-off valve.

My brother had an R33 making 450rwhp, running a GT35R and a closed blow-off valve for the flutter sound. No problems ever reported there and that was over the course of 75,000km's.

It's quite simple; if you like the sound, do it.

  5. What's happening with this build? Still going?

    My current weekend car is a 98' E36 318is.

I was thinking of doing an individual throttle body kit on my car and rebuilding the motor with 3.2L M3 internals. Would be great fun with a high-revving 1.9L 4cyl making ~200hp.

What kind of coin is required to do the RB25 or the SR20 conversion? If it's cheaper by a long mark I may look down that avenue instead....

  6. Why bother creating another thread about this shit?

We all know it happens. Just be mature enough to put up with it and if you really want put a complaint into your local police.

We've all heard about this shit before with dickheads driving any cars, yes Skylines included, like a bunch of morons. But creating another thread about it isn't telling us something we don't already know.

  7. Bitsoup.org & piratebay

Bitsoup requires you to be a registered member, just try making an account, if you can't try a day later. Should get one soon.

Best torrent site for all the latest 720p movies, tv shows etc.

  8. No sympathy from me. Yes the laws are wrong concerning money owing upon a motor vehicle, hence why you do a REVS check.

However, unfortunately it's buyer beware. When you buy a motor vehicle, especially a performance or luxury one, you should be having it checked thoroughly on a hoist.

Look at the bright side of things - at least it's been repaired correctly and passed inspection for registration.....

  9. I've been playing GT5 for about a month now and enjoying it a lot in some areas, others are a bit boring.

I have noticed in some races (both online and offline), people have had the Ford Falcon XR8 and Holden Commodores/Monaro's. How can i obtain these cars? I have never seen them in the used car dealership....

Also, when you do an endurance race, can you pause the endurance race and resume it another time? I've only done the Grand Valley 300km race so far....

Please add me on GT5/PSN. My username is Herculeeez

  10. Flywheel horsepower. Not wheels.

Show me one stock standard R34 GTR making 320awhp.

I've seen it on a Nissan Skyline documentary. It showed a bayside blue R34 GTR non-v-spec on a dyno and it made between 310-320awhp. I can't remember to exact figure; I watched this doco a long time ago =\
