I have just bought a auto 87 skyline 3.0 litre that fails to proceed. When you put it in forward or reverse the engine stalls. I am thinking the torque converter lockup is engaged all the time. I started the engine in neutral and pushed it down a hill to get some forward momentum and put it into drive and was able to get it home. Any suggestion. Is there a way to disconnect the converter lockup if this is the trobule. Keen to hear from anyone. Thanks. Problem Solved. Sold it.
