    Here is a bit more for you to look at - honestly just focus on the i920 as the rest (as you'll see below, is not within your reach)

    But then as part of the final words of the review:

    So as i was kinda saying, a bit more cost for gain of... is questionable the i920 really isn't worth the $$ for gain as Nehalem (Core i7) really only hauls ass with the 940/965 punch for punch.

    Honestly, yes I'm trying to talk you out of i7 as for what you want/need its a waste of money simple as that. If you ran a business that depended on outright processing power and so on then i would reccomend otherwise.

    I went through all these ideas myself about 3 months ago (knowing i7 was coming and i couldn't honestly see the value)

    You are better off buying middle/high end mature gear than low end new gear.

    All of the above does change if you overclock the system, but for the sake of the argument im assuming you want a turn-key system minimal fuss/setup as overclocking can take a bit of work depending on what you want.

    Maybe a i7 fanboy can come outta the woodwork and make this thread really interesting :)

    You want a I7 fan boy ill give u one lol. Nah I got a I7 and what are u on about the 920 doesn't haul ass. A I7 920 for $450 can out perform a Qx9770 worth $2000. If u can afford it then go I7 it is worth it if u do a lot of video editing/ encoding way faster. If u only wanna spend $1500 go a E8500 overclock it to 4ghz and get a 4870 graphics card for gaming, for video editing and multi tasking get a Q6600 and a 4850 graphics card.

    Transfer Case

    Hey just wondering does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to rebuild a transfer case on a r34 gtr or replace it for a new one? Also can anyone recommend a good place that could do the job.

    Can't Do A Launch

    It'll only apply as much as it thinks it needs.

    Have you got good rubber? What clutch? How much power? If I launch mine it'll also spin all the way through first... but I do see 50% on the meter, and it's just power with an aggressive clutch thats making it spin.

    If its power making it spin u should be spining all 4 wheels through first gear. Mine is only spining the rears I got new tyres on it stock power. Does anyone know a work shop in perth that can fix the attesa system?

    Make sure the atessa system is bled and you have fluid in the reservoir in the boot. Do a search in the forums here on info on how to bleed the system.

    Jack the car up on stands so that all the wheels are off the ground and put it in 1st and let it idle. Should spin all 4. If you don't think it is applying all 50% then pull the front drive shaft and do the same. When the rears spin but the fronts don't the Atessa should try to do 50% reading on the gauge. I just did that with mine tonight to diagnose my diff problem.

    I'm having Atessa problems myself, but I hope for your sake your problem isn't as bad as mine. Mine appears to be the front diff is shot.

    Thanks pez In my car I am getting some power to the front I can feel the car pull it self out of wheel spin when I rev out 1st gear and do a hard change to 2nd. Also when I take a corner quickly and it steps out it I can feel the steering wheel stiffen up as the car pulls it self out of oversteer,but I only have had a max of 30 % come up on my torque meter. The problem is it takes a very long time to pull it self out of wheel spin when i do a 1st gear launch. I,ve tried bleeding the system, do you know where the bleed point is at the back of the car on a r34 gtr? Is it on the pump itelf?

    Has anyone got any idea why my car won't launch. There are no fault lights coming on in my dash And the 4wd seems to work a little when im driving it hard, but when I try and do a launch it spins the wheels through most of 1st gear and slowly takes off. The highest i've seen my torque meter go is around 20 to 30 %. When you do a launch shouldn't the torque meter hit 50% please help.

    R34 Gtr Attesa Problem

    Hey my 4wd is not working properly when i do a launch in 1st gear it spins alot and slowly gets traction and the torque meter only reads around 25 to 30. I've tried bleeding the attesa system but im not sure if I have done it correctly, does anyone know where the rear pump bleed point is on a r34 gtr? pics would be appreciated.

    Hey does anyone know a place that has a diagnostics machine for the 4wd system in a r34 gtr?

    I've tried a few performance shops and they only have it for the engine. Any help would be appreciated this problem starting to really annoy me.

    R34 Gtr Attesa Bleed

    Hey does anyone know how to bleed a R34 gtr? I've looked on the forums but i shows how to bleed a r32 gtr. The plug u need to unplug in the kick panel on the drivers side is different to the r32 gtr and I think the bleed point on the back of the car is different aswell. Please help what else would cause the 4wd not to grip up as fast as normal?

    I think should just take it to All Star Garage since u heading down there. You also can take it to Top Racing to do minor mods tune should be safe :banana:

    All star garage i've never heard of them. Are they good? who works there? I already got a tune at hyperdrive but he only manage to get 280 rwhp from my car. Has all star got a dyno?

    Upgrading Turbo's R34 Gtr

    How much would i expect to pay for the 2860r-5 ? Where is the best place to order turbo's, I want to buy a full kit including all the piping, dump pipes etc. Do u think it would be cheaper to buy a kit or buy individually?

    Um, I think you are missing the point. The pods replace the airbox. Completely. You want the kit first time up. Try here:

    Can I suggest you go back to talk to Danny at Imports101 about your mods. My car was there when your 34 was about (It is a white R32)

    Yeah i know the pods replace the air box, What i meant was for $188 does the pods come with a adapter kit to fit a r34 gtr. I didn't get my car from imports 101 I bought it from sydney. I was just reading about nengun and people where saying they take along time to deliver. thanks for the info mate.
