  1. Go here - http://www4.wave.co....Skyline/Alt.htm

There's information regarding nearly all of the RB alternators. Also download the Excel spreadsheet that's there and it'll tell you what alternators will be compatible with the one you're currently using.

Doing a search for compatible alternators for my rb20 and came across the link above in a few threads and forums, but seems to be down.

does anyone have the excel spreadsheet referenced above?

it's an old thread i revived to try and find this excel sheet

  2. on my 2nd set of federal 595SS in 225/35/18 .. been happy enough with them. They are excellent in cutting through the water in wet weather, and do pretty well in the dry.

Only problem is I bought them cheap from an online store (member of this forum) and one of the 4 they sent made a loud clicking noise when driving about 70km/h ... so i purchased a pair of Nankangs for real cheap 2nd hand to replace the dodgey tyre, and well... the nankangs are terrible.

  3. Hey everyone.

I've been thinking about getting an oil pressure gauge for a while now... i know the standard ones in 32's are completely unreliable, and i've also heard that the RB20's often die because of bad oil pressure.

So i'm currently thinking of getting one of those 3 gauge holders to go under my stereo head unit, and i'm trying to decide what gauges to get and where to get them from.

I'm thinking Oil pressure is a must... Possibly get an air/fuel ratio gauge (with a wideband sensor) ... and i'm not sure what to get for the 3rd spot.

I already have an aftermarket boost gauge (which was cheap and isn't overly accurate, but it does the job) so i don't need one of those.

    So in summary:

What 3rd gauge do you recommend?

Where is a good place to purchase gauges?

Do i need to replace the sensor for the oil pressure gauge or just the gauge itself?

    Thanks,

    Steve

[ ps. yes i have used the search tool to try and find some answers to the above, but funnily enough searching for gauges brings up a million results ]

  4. yeah its a fiberglass copy, paint is crappy and its cracked, so replacing with a proper one.

Think retail is $700+, i got it cheaper through a contact :)

i just had a truck driver reverse into mine yesterday and put a nasty hole in it... now i know what to ask for.

he also broke my indicator which i had JUST replaced after my previous one got busted in the storm... those standard nissan clear ones are hard to find.
