    The ballast resistor is a requirement of the coil, not the distributor. Basically, the coil gets a full charge of 12V at startup, but then the electrics switch over to the ballast resistor to deliver less (8?) volts to the coil while running.

    Can you give a scheme? how ballast resistor work? i`m have a burnout power transistor on my l20et.

    do a search for l20t in the search area...may have what you want there...look first before starting a new thread!

    Thank You. I`m use a search and found advice to change L20ET for RB25DE injectors. I`m buy a fuel ramp from RB25DE not a look for it. But i have a some trouble. RB25DE injectirs is side load, my L20ET is up load. :ermm:

    I was under the impression that the hr30/dr30 ecu's were not reprogram able.

    i`m dont saw it. i`m can`t read hitachi memory chips with my programmator. it`s all. If you can, make it and give me bin-file. I`m rebuild my ecu for 27c512 or 27c256.

    Ok, i`m open a ECU an what i see:

    hd6802 processor (Hitachi MC6802 analog datashet i have)

    24 pin ram chip near processor (HM46810P Hitachi Semiconductor :: General-Purpose Static RAM 128*8 bits datasheet i have)

    24 PIN Mask rom (HN48364P i`cant found datasheet. but i think it`s 8192 bytes size no datasheet)

    24 PIN EPROM (hn25089 i`m think it`s 1024 bytes no datasheet).

    My chinese programmer UP48 dont support these chips. :D

    How I can read all memory? Maybe solder a adapter like 27c512 take a adress and datalines from processor and read this like 27c512?

    Hi!

    I`m want boost up my l20et.

    I`m buy a watercooled tourbine from VG30DET 15 PSI, and fuel rail with injectors from rb25DE it`s a 270cc?

    What i can make with MAF sensor for good work with this setup?

    May be make spring in maf harder?

    Just to remind you we are all in australia and newzealand, maybe 1 or 2 in japan

    i think it would cost thousands to send an engine to siberia

    you may be better off looking in a euro forum.

    or take your L20et to a very good engine builder and get everything balanced and rebuilt, then add some 1984 300zx turbo injectors and a better turbo from a RB20det

    you will have upwards of 115 to 120kW then!

    Sorry for bad english guys, i`m want get a manual for L20ET.

    But i`m changed my mind. Now i`m want adapt a Honda C32A Engine ECU for work with my L20ET

    L20ET fireibg order: 1-5-3-6-2-4 Honda fireing order is: 1-4-2-5-3-6. I`m must replace wires for spark plugs and injectors for right fireing order and adapt MAP and crankshaft position sensor, TPS sensor, intake air temperature and water sensors.

    L20ET with Map must be a fun :D:P

    P.S. :( Hondas ECU`s will be chipped very good and not dificult.
