Thanks Liam It's been a lot time in the making, and still a bit more to do, but everything that has been done so far has been to a quality I'm really happy with. I thought if it's going to be gone that long then it had better look like it was time, and money, well spent.
No vids as yet as my POV cam batteries died on the day after a few minutes of each recording... but I'll gt some up after HH this month.
Yep, sold the Clubby and bought the STi about 6 weeks ago. Loving it! Nice choice of ute man, they're fat as and sound great. I was just after something smaller again as the Clubby was a bit big for me and getting on in the km's department, and I didn't require my daily to be my tow car anymore. Great daily though
Yeah its better to do things right the first time, definatley saves money in the long run!
Nice vid, pity the batteries packed it in before you unleashed the beast! POV cams are great, Ive recently bought a Go-pro motorsports cam I dont have the cash to spend on better equipment but maybe later down the track I'll upgrade haha. I'll give it a test run at open praccy at winton this friday.
Sti is another favourite of mine, awesome cars, probably cheaper on the juice aswell!
When are you gonna be hitting the track next?
And just a quick Q for all, where do you guys purchase your semi-slicks from in melbourne??
Cheers
Liam.

I see in your display thing that your driving an wrx now.. did you sell the clubsport? Ive just bought myself a vz ss hardtop ute with a few goodies, great tow cars!

many moons ago when I was living at home some cops came round one Sat arvo...
I walk outside to see them inspecting my old 33... started to chat to them and apparently a neighbour had dobbed us in as we had a loud car that was waking them up in the morning... I asked them what time and they said approx 5:30am... There was no way it was me as I never get up that early so I took them out the back to show them my dad's old Alfa Giulia GTC... they just laughed and asked to hear it... I gave it a few revs for them and they said nice car and left promptly lol... that car is seriously loud, I did used to feel a bit sorry for the neighbours! lol made my 33 sound positively quiet in comparison
Hahaha nice one!
Im yet to get a visit from the po po's but im sure in the near future they will be knocking at my door
That yellow Panspeed fd is automotive porno!

My jaw literally just dropped when I saw the above photo!
That is INSANE!!!
*edit, just read the last page.
mmm rx photos! that 787b monster would be incredible to hear and see it in the flesh. err metal.
As for pissing off the neighbours.. 3 weeks or so ago I had dog shit thrown at my garage door and squished under the roller door and into the handle/lock haha ratbags, I will be getting them back as I know who they are (have complained a numerous times ) its not like i sit and rev the car at 2am and hoon in my street (there are lots of kids that play in my street)
Last encounter I had with them they said they are going to report me to the epa, I said go ahead take my rego and pointed to and empty space where my licence plate should be. (its a track car, no rego) they wern't very amused haha
Im thinking about shitting in their letterbox.

Haha yeah the fd looks like it has seen better days!
Also are you still selling those go pro motorsport cameras?? Hope so! I'll send ya a pm.
*edit
Cant send you a pm as your inbox is full haha

My vet tells me that chocolate is cumulative in doggies (much like mercury is cumulative in humans)... They can't process it and get rid of it and it can be harmful if enough choco goodies are ingested.
That's why they have carob drops, and not chocolate drops for doggahs!
Just an FYI
Now he has no Boost bar, and a sick dog... rough day!A mate's dog ate a whole block of chocolate and she was fine, so I wouldn't worry too much. But yeah, no good for them
My ex eats chocolate but unfortunatley she hasn't died yet...
Hey stuart, your evo is coming along nicley, love the cage! good work.

woah thats a massive hit!

Ok - here's some footage from The Sideling which is probably the most famous stage us Rookies got to do and was also the 1st stage I mentally decided to have a full red hot crack at. As can be seen I got over excited once or twice. Ended up doing an 8:09 which was around 20th outright (but best in Rookie by 10s) - but to show how the Woo is doing it was still 1s slower than him in the RB20 R32 fence eater.
Nice work mate! enjoyed the vid!
-
Looks great Stu!
Here's a quick vid of some interesting times we've had with the locals whilst doing recce. Most love the R35 but it seems some not so much so...
wooah I would have definatley changed my jocks after that close encounter!
-
Haha yeah I know what ya mean haha
I'll definatley take you up on that offer, would love to ride shotgun in the 33!
I saw it at the grand prix display, just immac! good stuff!
Ditto FC3S. if that is your 7 in your sig then i want it. Gorgeous car! We need pics and details of it!Haha thanks mate yeah it is,
Im getting it back from the tuners next week hopeing for around 230-240rwkw (small numbers compared to you gtr freaks! haha)
It was originally a non turbo auto, power was pityfull so in went the 13bt and 5speed from then on there was no looking back haha
Just got the usual bolt on bits
Rebuilt motor, Hiflow with garrett t04b, fmic, custom 70mm rad, injectors, coilovers, clutch, halfcage, Greddy Profec B spec 2 Electronic boost controller, Microtech LT10s, Tial 38mm External wastegate, slotted rotors, 3" straight through, Sard fuel pressure reg, Walbro fuel pump, and other things etc..
Pretty happy with how its turned out so far, still would like to do a heap more like a bigger brake combo etc.. it never ends ey!

okay posting for phunky_monkey... please note I did not build it and haven't gotten it to the track yet but hey, what else am I going to do on a Friday
Previously owned by Nathan from the SAU Vic club
'96 R33 GTR, built by Ben @ Racepace many moons ago so is a bit old school
Built motor with Tomei gear, pistons, big cams, springs, lifters etc etc... with Benno custom sump and catch can etc
Trust T517Z 8cm turbos
Trust FMIC, Radiator and Oil Cooler etc
Tein Type-RE Coilovers etc
Harrop 4-pot Calipers, 355mm 2-piece Rotors
BBS LM Forged Alloy 18x10.0 +20
and a bunch of other supporting parts... makes 360rwkw @ 20psi
Is pretty loud and lumpy and generally not as refined as recent Racepace GTRs but I love it... it has personality
and it gets me to work really quickly lol
soon to be at a track day near you
Excuse the filth, had been driving in the rain before this...
Awesome gtr, what a package!!
I would give my left nut to own one of these!

Okay guys
finally an update!!
thought you might like to see how the r34 is coming along, still lots to do.
but we have done trial body fitting, engine and gearbox are in along with front and rear crossmembers and arms, most of the electric are done.
still needs suspension and engine management , all oil and fuel system etc etc etc
front wheel track will come out another 30 mm yet!
lots and lots of hours gone into this car already and so much more to do.
hope you like.
That is honestly the best 34 I have ever seen! Bloody unreal!!
Top work mate
Looking forward to the vids!

What's the offset?
Hey mate im not sure on offset but i originally bought these rims off an r32 on this site, wich had standard tyres on at the time so they will fit the 32 no worries, your welcome to come try them on if you like?
-
Yeah Liam, Tim (not Donny, LOL!) bought the R34 GTR V-Spec II Nur along but he was car number 53 inline and when he arrived they were only up to car number 30.
He had to leave and could not wait. It would be good to see if it still pulls 306 rwkW's like last year at RE Customs.
Tried finding you last night... I should have just called you... You still got same number?
Some nice cars there last night, a lot of EVO's too.
Ah yeah thats right tim hahaha
I only stayed for an hour as I had something on later in the night, some bloody nice cars there! there was a midnight purple 32 gtr that looked absolutley mint!!
pm me your number jamie. I went swimming in a pool with my phone still in my pocket and it drowned haha

See ya tonight man.

Haunted hills! ive seen footage of that track, looks the goods! I'll eventually head up there oneday but really need semi-slicks as road tyres just dont cut it haha. I'll give protek a call and get a price sorted.
I was meant to head to winton today for an open practice (took the day off work) only to find that I had no power to my coilpacks so this arvo had to rewire it straight from the battery.. looks pretty ghetto, but it does the job . Theres an alfa romeo track day being held this sunday so i might head out and give the ol girl a run (but dont really want to pay $110 to join that club..
