  1. Hi All,

    I have searched for info but had no luck. I have a 98 model 4 door R34 (N/A).

    Can anyone tell me if the R33 tie rod end and rack end fit the R34 or direct me in the right direction.

    I have looked on ebay and they sell 99-04 but not 98 model. The thread is 14mm with a total length of 280mm.

    Any help is really appreciated..

  2. Well if police do find the kids, they may be faced with the possibility of being charged, it doesn't mean that they will automatically get a Youth Caution. And with fingerprints you would be suprised how many 'hits' we get with dumb asses who don't put gloves on...

    But at the end of the day the immobiliser saved the day =)

  3. I have to agree with silverbullet, the venue was very, very small. My partner and I got there at just after 10am, so they were still setting up. There didn't seem to be that many cars and the Horden Pavillion has got nothing on Olympic Park. Does anyone know if there is a rundown of the day, by that I mean they should have a breakdown of the day so ppl know what will be on and at what time. I remember a few years back the dyno was at around midday.

    Maybe it was because it wasn't Final Battle but I was a bit disappointed...

    Ok I have an R33 GTS-T, it's auto, has only a turbo timer and bov (atmo), thats the only real engine related mods I have. It runs 7psi atm. And I have never had any dramas with it. The other night I was driving along Camden Bypass at decent speed and came off the accelarator to slow down as there was a car in front of me, I moved to the left to overtake, when I started to accelerate I could hear the turbo spooling but there was like this spluterring noise, sort of like when you're ignition coils are dying but without all the shaking... I gave it a few squirts here and there after this to test it and didn't have it occur again..

    I don't have much of an idea as to what it could be but was hoping all you switched on ppl out there could give me some food for thought..

  5. Pods are illegal... I was speaking to a friend who I used to work GD's with who know does HWP. Even if it is engineered it still doesn't comply with the ADR's.... Just hide it well enough and most police won't even know what it is or what it does :-)

    And those silencers are brilliant.... First time I saw Brad and Jess's (SINFUL) GTR I thought it sounded soft as, until the silencer was off, I then felt very very stupid...

    ive read around that turbo's run better km's per tank than N/a's? but i donno..

    i changed my afm and i started getting 30-40 extra km's per tank...

    im pretty sure a good tune will help also.

    yeah we're looking into it... everyone we've talked to said his car shouldn't be eating up that much fuel.. the 33 has no boost controller.. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it..

    I do alright on fuel... I normally fuel up on Mondays or Tuesday depending on what I'm doing.. it's about 10cents difference (depending where you live of course).. but every cent counts.. on avg we pay about 1.65 for v-power... or bp ultimate at 1.55... which is pretty cheap compared to other prices I've seen..

    NB .. this is anna btw I'm using Brenton's cause I can't be bothered signing out and then signing into my one.. :P

  7. You're speedo, you're responsibility unfortunately. And with speeds, generally if it's done by us and not the camara we will put you give you the lower out of the 2, i.e. 15 and under rather than over, with all honesty you don't stand a chance in court. What people don't seem to understand is that a Magistrate can impose a higher fine than the IPB regulates if he feels it is a waste of the court's time, plus you will be issued court costs of $76 for the day, and Legal Representation if you had it.

    Better to just pay up and be more cautious next time but its up to you at the end of the day =)

  8. Upload pics to the site. Ppl are less likely to want to have to go into myspace and stuff like that to view you're car.

    Sounds like a very nice line', with the manual conversion you will know exactly were you're car is at mechanically.

    But at the end of the day i guess it all comes down to preference and ultimately cash..
