  1. have you tried carmate.com.au yet?

that is the fake 400R AU Spec version

i had a proper jap version on my series 2. they do look different from the front. i had mine fitted before the car left japan. and in the two years i owned it i couldnt find one distributor in australia that sold it or a version that looked just like a real 400R front bar.

  3. well they have got hicas standard.. it it assist steering in moving the rear wheels wich can be a problem esspecially if u want a drift car..

so u have to get a hicas lock out bar. there only about 100 dollars and easy to install. if u get those mods and take it to someone

that knows how to set a wheel align up for a drift car u will have no probs with handling...

ok so basically i just need to get one of these bars to lock the wheels into place will this make it handle any better???

or is it just sweet for drifting???

  4. i suggest a set of coilovers wich aint to bad in price these days...

and adjustable chamber arms for front and rear

that way u can weel align it to handle how ya want...

oh and remove the hicas so u dont get that taking over at higher speeds

do they come with a hicas bar standard??? and what happens @ high speeds when its on???

practically i want a bit of a drift car but is that possible if you want it to handle to???

  5. how does it handle?...

    too much body roll?

    no grip?

    understeer?

    oversteer?

    poor steering feel? etc.

the e30 handles quite nicely from the factory, i almost bought one a few years back, (i presume ur talking about an e30 with an rb20 in the front),

so you may have just set the car up too stiff, but its hard to know whats wrong without you going into more detail about how the car currently handles.

oops i meant my new r33 sorry guys for the confussion

i felt the bmw handled better just off a set of springs

  6. hey my car has the following done for handleing:=

    Suspension:

    Bilstein Shocks

    Eibach Springs

whiteline Front and rear strut braces

Whiteline front and rear adjustable sway bars

    Uras adjustable castor rods

    rolling on 18x8" XHP wheels

    Fronts 225/40/18

    Rears 235/40/18

the reason why it handles poorley is because i had a bmw e30 with just a set of springs that handled better

do i need to fine tune it all???

  7. hi there guys im a newbie on here and not to sure what is happening with my car as when i go to put the foot down the car starts to surge.

the car has the following mods done to the engine

    ENGINE:

Currently makes 273rwkw, tuned by trent at status tuning

    HKS GT-RS Turbo Kit @16psi

    PowerFC ecu

    Hybrid Intercooler kit

    Z32 AFM

Bigger injectors, was told Sard 650CC (yellow tops)

    Walbro fuel pump

    Full Turbo back 3" exhaust

    Pod Filter

    Splitfire coilpacks

any help is greatly appreciated as im sick of not being able to have full throttle iwith these skyline engines

  8. A gts4 with rb20 and 1450kg is not a WRX beater in no way shape or form.

besides, this fella has an RB20 in an E30 (I would have gone sr20 but anyway)

that is the reason for his turbo upgrade issue. nothing physically bigger will fit in the stock spot.

exactly right gtst it is a fair bit lighter good suspension set up and i think it could get to the point of beating a wrx... im not out to even try and kill a sti what you think???

    is it possible

  9. should have gone SR20 dude..

with a stock S15 turbo bolted to it with usual mods it would have pulled 200rwkw and be less laggy than the RB20 with stock turbo

    no 2 ways about it.

rb25 turbo "may" get you there depending on dyno.

a hiflow definitely will... but will increase lag.

yeah maybe but i also should have looked at dropping a supra enging in there to i know they fit but it was the money issue at the time

  10. an rb25 turbo on a rb20det will push around 180-190kw depending on tune (sometimes hit 200kw depending on dyno)

I currently have a hiflow rb20 turbo which will be getting installed next week along with a tune.

I'll let you know how much power I will gain with the hiflow.

Although there are different stages of hiflow so it depends how much you willing to spent to get it past 200kw

    Some info here;

    http://www.billetturbochargers.com/Turbo_r...and_hiflows.ews

im after spot on 200 kw atw but if its more thats sweet as but nothing less will be taken bloody wrxs are getting me atm damn there awd im currently lookin @ converting mine not a easy excercise

  11. short answer is yes.

long answer is not if you want it to last a while.

people have run the RB25 turbo on an RB20 with remap and almost 14psi to get around the 190rwkw mark.

that sort of boost and more is just asking for eventual trouble.

that stock RB25 turbo can be hiflowed for about $2K (ball bearing centre) and be able to flow enough air to produce around 240rwkw... but you will be left with more lag up to around 4000rpm where things start to come alive.

okay so 4000 rpm is there any way of dropping those numbers to a healthy 3000rpm???

the reason this is being done is because the motor is in a e30 and there is about 20mm from turbo to the chassis rail GAY!!!

and from that info u have been told there isn't much help but you may be able to help with this???

i want 200kw atw and will basically do anything to get it just check out the myspace for pics www.myspace.com/iamjarryd

    plz help me

  12. dont quote me, i think rb25 turbo on an RB20 will get you about 180-190 with supporting mods, fuel pump, injectors, computer, zorst, cooler. But I think it would be stretching it to get 200. Someone will know better but thats the general power area im pretty sure.

as for the physical size of the turbo It's slightly larger.

    hope this helps

edit: http://www.project32.net/img/turbo_actuators.jpg - 25 turbo on left, 20 turbo on right

OKAY thats fairenough but what if i high flowed the turbo is that goin to give me that power gain to get me closer??? i will be doing the above but also chucking in some tomie cams for that bit more punch surley that will get me on the money??? and how much boost could be put through it???

  13. :D HEY ALL

im in your help again as i need to know weather a rb25 turbo is the same size as a rb20.

    ****the reason for this is...****

i have dropped a rb20 im my e30 bmw and after this conversion my turbo is just clearing the chassis rail by 20mm so there is not much room to make it any bigger so i need a turbo basically the exact same size. and if the rb25 does happen to be the same size what is involved to install the rb25 e.g. pipes the target for the power it will produce is 200kw atw or a bit over

    your helpis required thanks :)
