  1. Yes, it is Nismo.

Those could all be factory optioned for an RS (although not sure about the badge on the rear).

Perhaps you should check the ECU, you may have lucked out there.

That said, I do not see any Nismo side skirts, rear bumper nor spoiler so perhaps he/she ran out of Yen.

Which Nismo exhaust? Round or square tips (below). I miss my old Nismo exhaust sound.

    Yes its the square tips

Am happy with the tone and is quiet enough to not be annoying when doing daily and highway driving.

I would like to lower it a little to reduce the wheel arch gap but dont want to run into clearance issues with parking and curbs and steep spoon drains/driveways due to the front bumper - so i guess ride height will have to stay the way it is

  2. Nismo

    Is it?

Knew it wasn't a standard factory item when I got the car but wasn't entirely sure exactly.

Car came with it from Japan with Nismo speedo cluster, Nismo cat back exhaust, Nismo rad cap, air filter and Nismo badge on the rear tail gate.

Was all these options or just guessing the previous owner liked Nismo items?

  3. Some new wheels on won on auction so will have to wait for them to get delivered.

Also bought a Transgo shift kit to liven up the gear box.

The guy i bought it from has only one left. $250 + delivery.

If anyone is interested, please let me know so can pass the details on ☺️

  4. Just checking things around under the bonnet and noticed a capacitor pack sitting half assed down next to the battery - connected to the battery only.

Does anyone know what this is for as it doesnt look factory.

  5. Think the tyres pictured are only 235/35 so they are way too small. Not my wheels - just tried and tested as they had too much damage for my liking.

Personally I would have liked to go to a 245/45 which is a little larger rolling diameter than stock by 3.39% (245/40 is same as factory).

I use www.willtheyfit.com by the way to work this out.

Personally I don't want to lower the car as it's nice to drive places without having to worry about front bumper and exhaust etc scraping on everything.

My S14 is my lowered car

Hope this info is helpful to others out there anyway.

  6. I just tried some rims last night on mine with factory suspension and these were the results.

19x8.5 + 33 front was flush with guard, 19x9.5 +24 rear stuck out about 10mm.

    Wheels are Volk GT-V's

And 19's still look small on these cars.

So for minimal work to fit on a stock car (ride height, camber and guards) 9.5 +35 would be a pretty safe bet imo.

  7. One thing I like about my M35 is the leather interior and creature comforts of all electric adjustability and heating in the seats.

Out of the V35, 350Z and R35 seats, do they provide any of these features while adding extra 'bucket seat' style support?

  8. 20x10 all round +35 3mm spacers up front 255/30/20

Not rubbing at all. Needs to be this height for the camber to pull them underish the guards.

How much camber is this running?

I have been looking for wheels for a while now but offset is the biggest concern i have.

Plan was to run 19x 9 front and 19x10 rear

245 and 265 rear with 5 sidewall difference to maintain rolling diametre within 1% from memory

  9. I would also like to know the costs and benefits (power/ecconomy) over stock of the dump and front pipe.
I currently have the Nismo cat back system so would be good to know when combined with this.

Anything not to blow my turbo :)

Apparently, a good mod is to also change the dump pipe on the M35 (Scotty's one looks pretty popuular).

What's the overall cost of this (part and labor)? Proven benefit on the turbo?

  10. I found this article on M35 issues and fix regarding the turbo.

Is this something people know of, have done or do as recommended?

"For Nissan M35 Stagea vehicles with the VQ25DET engine, the Garrett M24N turbocharger is susceptible to failure due to a blockage of the 1 mm oil feed if the car is not serviced regularly. To overcome this, a common modification is to bore out the banjo bolt on the oil feed from 1 mm to 3 mm."
