Best Exhaust System for V35 Sedan

    Hi Guys

Been a while since I last posted!

Anyway, I picked up an 04 manual v35 sedan over the weekend and loving it so far. Handles like a dream with the coil overs installed :)

I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to which exhaust kit sounds the best and how to source it. I was looking around and came up with a few brands like Borla and Kakimoto but not to sure where to buy them from.

    Cheers

Ironically, you can buy Borla from www.bestexhaust.com.au

I've had this car since it was 18 months old, and with 60,000km on the odometer. This car is in Mechanically A1 condition, having recently had the turbo replaced with a new OEM turbo, and the o2 sensor replaced. Other than that nothing has really broken on the car in the time I've owned it.

The bodywork has recently been resprayed, but there are a few small imperfections. --

In addition to all original equipment, the following are included:

    Handling :-

Mitsubishi Evo VI wheels (17") - average condition,

    4 x 17" Toyo R888 Semi-slick road-legal tyres (new),

    Whiteline Handling Kit,

    Tein Superstreet (Australian) Coilovers,

Tein EDFC Damper control unit with 4 x servo motors,

    Drivetrain :-

    Blitz Boost Guage,

If you're not familiar with the 200SX, it is one of the few sports cars that you can carry people in the back seat. Ideal if you have two kids (as this is a 2+2 configuration) - alas I have three kids...

VIN: JN1GAAS15A0002881 Car is owned outright, and I'm selling to upgrade to a more family friendly sportscar. --

The Car can be inspected in Canberra.

Alot of money has been spent on this car, to keep it running perfectly and to make it handle well

Act quickly, as I'm intending to sell of some of the goodies to reduce the price.

  3. The Proxes R888 is a street-legal motor sport tyre recommended for competition use. The Proxes R888 has a low-void ratio to minimize tread squirm on dry tracks. The new groove design optimizes water drainage from the contact patch. Round tread shoulders for progressive turn-in. Casing construction & belt package designed for optimized cornering & braking grip. Provides competitive performance for a wide range of motor sport disciplines, from hill-climbs to endurance racing. Fast warm-up & predictable behaviour when cold. Progressive brake-away provides predictable vehicle control.

Two are down to the wear markerstwo have a mm or two left All have plenty of life left for trackwork, as the grooves are still plenty deep. Grip is phenominal, better mostly worn that my brand new Fulda std road tyres - even in the wet. As I use my tyres every day on the street, these have had to be replaced by new ones, so here's a set for someone to use for the track... Pickup from Kaleen ACT - or can ship to you - POA

Selling for $50 for the set. Quick Sale.

  5. I have fitted a Borla Exhaust and I have taken the CAT'S out to free it up a bit more, most people are fitting US origin Extractor's but since they are made for LHD the odd problem has happened when fitting.

I am told but don't quote me but the JDM ones are not as good due to JASMA laws and I do think the US origin exhausts are better value and a nicer fit on the car.

POD filters make the bottom end a bit dead as I fitted one but went back to the OEM air box with a K&N filter.

I can vouch for that... Can't really beat a Borla Million-mile warranty either. Checkout the videos on the website for an idea of the sound...

    http://www.bestexhaust.com.au

I can do a group discount too for 5 or more systems (10%)

  6. I'm an ex super-sprint competitor, so I like a car that is precise and maneuvrable. My s15 has Tein coilovers and mild engine mods.

I gather the V35 is alot heavier, and not quite as agile, but I just want to assess if I can handle the extent of change, and I'd also be interested to hear from any V35 owners who have done handling mods.

  7. Hi, I'm thinking of getting a V35 import. Are there any V35 owners in Canberra, Sydney or Brisbane who would let me see their cars.

I know this sounds creepy, but I'm really not sure if I want to move away from a s15 if the v35 is going to be too cushy.

I'm based in Canberra, and I'll be visiting Sydney and Brisbane in the next month or so...

Regardless it'd be nice to meet other Nissan enthusiasts...
