  1. 1998 R34 GTT Manual turbo

    I am the first owner of this car in Australia (bought July 2008 with 88,603 km), and have taken very good care of it.

    This is my second car, so I hardly drive it, hence why I'm selling it.

    Cons:

    Fuel guage does not work, however the reserve light comes on when the fuel is low

    Crack in front body kit near the number plate (hardly noticible unless up very close) and crack in front bumper bar reo - this is due to a towbar backing into me

    Overall the car is in very good condition, runs very nice, never caused me any issues and I have never been hasseled by the cops.

    Inspection in South Morang, only on the weekends

    No time wasters, test pilots or swaps

  2. Hi guys,

    Thought i'd ask people their opinion about my 98 model R34.

    I sustained multiple hail damages to my car (all along the right side, the bonnet, hood and boot). Some are visible front on but many, are only seen side on and at an angle. (The black dots are placed near all the dent sites).

    Now my excess is $1700, its with JustCar and I got a quote from a panel beater (Mill Park and South Morang Smash Repairs) for PDR for ~$4,000.

    My question are, is that reasonable and will they be able to take out every single small dent so you will hardly see anything. Also what is my right (i.e. if I'm not happy with it can I get it redone or refuse to accept the car)?

  3. HI guys,

    I've got a 1998 R34 GTT and my petrol gauge does not seem to read properly.

    If i knock the dash above the speedometer it may move down to the correct position or if i go over a bump it may come down. Even after i fill up a full tank of fuel the needle wont move back the F position unless i knock the dash.

    Has anybody else had this problem or know of any way i could fix this. I've taken apart the whole speedometer cluster and checked if the fuel gauge needle is rubbing on anything but that does not seem to be the case.

  4. Hi guys my R34 is due for its 100k service and I was wondering if people knew any good places in and around Melbourne to take it to get it done?

    I got a quote from Nissan in Bundoora and they said it would be ~ $950, but that was without the water pump, which they said they would inspect and replace only if it was leaking.

  5. Hi to all,

    Recently purchased an 98 model R34 GTT, which is prerry much stock standard, apart from an Apexi turbo timer.

    I was driving from melb to adelaide, i was slowing down to pull into to the servo when i noticed the engine control light come on and then when i accelerated it went off. This kept on happenin all the way to adelaide (i.e. when i slowed down from 100 to 80km/h, it would come on then go off).

    Then after pumping fuel, i noticed that the tubo boost gauge was not moving at all, but i could still here the turbo spool.

    I stopped the car for 10 mins, then when i started again the boost gauge was working, but after 5 mins of driving it stopped again.

    Anyone who could help on what the problem might be and what i could do about it?
