  1. Thanks for the heads up GH05T, I found an old post saying Kudos does kits, but couldn't find them in the classifieds, any chance you could send me a link?

Ben, I'll be doing the RMS as I have a slight leak, forgot to mention that in my post, but didn't know about the crank seal.

    Cheers!

Edit, found Kudos! Ignore that :)

  2. Hey guys, I've been away from the scene for a while and have recently got my self a C34 S2 Stagea RWD. It's coming up to it's 100k service so I would just like to know which sponsors are the cheapest/best for the following bits, I assume they do package deals?

    • Timing Belt & Water Pump Kit (Genuine Nissan Cam Seals, Genuine Nissan belt
    • Genuine Nissan R34 water pump
    • Genuine Nissan Timing Belt Stud Kit
    • Genuine Nissan Cam Cover Gasket Set
    • Genuine Nissan Ancillary Drive Belt Set
    • 1 tube of gasket maker stuff

I already have oil and oil filter, is there anything else I should be getting?

At the same time I'll also be doing a manual conversion from a R33 GTSt, I bought an Exedy clutch about 10 years ago that's never seen the road so I'll be using that, but the thrust bearing seemed to be noisy when it was fitted to my old car years ago. Can any of the older members (not long after SAU started), recall there being an issue with the Exedy clutches back then? I seem to recall it was a common issue and the fix was to get a standard OEM Nissan one. The part number of the clutch plate is NSD098U,

Edit The clutch it's self is silver and I thought that all Exedy clutches were pink?? The only part number stamped onto it is 2M05 which I can't find anywhere, so thought it might be an OEM one, will this clutch plate suit a standard OEM clutch? Confirmed mine was the non HD version which has the silver pressure plate.

    Cheers,

    Gareth.

  3. Hey guys, The forum was generated as part of the sister site to the Nissan Stagea Victorian Division Facebook page. We thought there was a lack of websites dedicated to Stagea's and also put up a forum to support this. The site will be updated in the coming weeks primarily as a resource for all things Stag related. Personally I find searching through old posts on forums can be annoying, you end up finding lots of irrelevant posts and by posters that are miss-informed or just trolling etc, so this site will be mainly to fill that gap.

We are still in the early stages of setting up the site so feel free to join the forum and help build the community grow. If you know anything that others may not be aware about Stags, please start a thread on the forum so we can discuss it and we'll post it on the site when it's released. We thought we'd also set up the social side for the forum because it's easy to do and might help to generate an active community within the site.

    Cheers,

    stagea.net.au admin.

  4. Got 10s on mine no flaring only-1.2 deg camber and a 265 tyres to try and help with traction

How does that not touch your shock?? Whats the distance between shock and inner rim?

  5. Because it's fake I cant seem to find a website but they are available on ebay eg

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Defi-BF-Series-Boost-Gauge-52mm-/111206098609?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19e46666b1&_uhb=1

I would have thought it would have been 5v but 12v seems to be working fine as per the instructions i found on the net, I found a source on the HID relay but I was hopeing to find something I can tap into close to the BOV, any ideas??

  6. Nope not yet, on their website they say you can replace the "cartridge", but on the nismo site you can order replacement parts so I was hoping I could locate someone locally that could order a seal and fix it cheap (this is my second car, i dont wanna waste money on it)

  7. you can get shocks rebuilt, you just need to find the right places. ask in the VIC section for any suggestions for shock rebuild places.

I took the busted strut out and its definitly rebuildable, it may have just worked it's way loose because i can see where the oil is oosing out, probably just need to order a seal and some oil.

Has anyone had much experience rebuiling struts? it doesnt look all that difficult from the spare parts list on the nismo site

^doesn't seem like he wants to drop much money at all, in his first post he shirked away from 200$ pricetag!

Yeah its just my daily, id rather spend the little cash i have on my 180, I'm happy with the ride height and the stiffness of the springs that come with the s-tune, anything harder would be annoying around the shitty inner city streets where i work

  8. I've just bought a new set of rims for my C34 stagea RWD (macpherson/S14 style suspension - see attached) and when I swapped them over I realized that my front right shock is leaking badly. For though's who don't know these aren't coilovers, they look like the stock suspension but are an inch or so lower. The height and handling of these things are IMO perfect for street use so i don't want to change to coilovers unless I have no choice.

    1. is it possible to rebuilt?

    2. can I run the lowered spring in my stock shock?

    3. How much are replacement shocks and where can I get one? Edit: on the nismo site they work out to ~$200 AUD excluding postage so i wont be going this option

    Cheers

    Gareth.
