Hey guys,
Some f^* reversed into my parked car yesterday and broke the plastic indicator/reverse (left hand side), plus some minor scratch on the tail light and corner boot lid. A bit lucky here as it could've been much worse if they hit the bumper and bent the boot lit.
Anyway, does anyone know where i can find just this replacement cover and not the whole tail light. I've managed to psuh back the tail light out to have it back flush with the boot/bumper.
Please let me know...
Thanks

Hi mate,
Any rear spoiler preferbly in silver and left rear tail light (or at least the clear indicator/reverse light plastic)?
Any pics would be great.
Thanks

Just wondering how long it takes your car to reach normal operating temp from a cold start under normal (no lead foot) drive?
I've got a stock as a rock R34 GTT apart from an apexi pod...it takes under 60 secs to reach the half way mark on my engine temp gauge. Using Cusco 5w 40 oil.
Cheers

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead (better than starting a new one i guess).
Please post your current insurance costs and details.
I'm currently with HBF and as some of you might know, HBF insurance in now underwritten by CGU Insurance. As CGU will honour any current HBF policy ONLY for the next renewal.....they will NOT insure skylines and the likes there after!
Therefore that is why I'm currently looking around for the best deal out there. Heres my current policy.
Car: 1998 Nissan Skyline R34 GTT Sedan
Insurance company: CGU (formerly HBF)
Premium Cost: $697.00
age: 30
driving history: Clean
gender: Male
mods: stock
garage y/n: yes
alarm: yes
insured amount: $16k (carried over from HBF as CGU won't lower this amount)
excess:$450 (Advantage Driver)
No Claim Bonus: Maximum 65%
Request a SGIO quote to beat by 10%...but unfortunately they will only insure to the max value of $10k regardless of any mods or extras.
Thanks in advance.

Manually? Both door locks?
sorry yea...all ok if open/closed manually using key, but from inside (button and inside lock) other 3 doors most of the time won't fully lock or hardly.
thanks
-
Need some help...my central locking finally sh*t itself and decided to give up and stopped working 90% of the time...i.e. both manually and remotely. Im suspecting its the motor...
Please let me know who/where/how i can get this fixed or DIY (where to source parts- type/model #)??
Thanks in advance.

Had a very bad experience with Cowley. Would strongly advise against going there.
pls PM me details...thanks!
-
Thanks guys! Ive got someone from Cowley to take a look at my car 2moro. See how it goes i guess. Cheers again for the help!
hey man how'd you go with this place?
-
Thats the problem, they wern't stolen at home and the only other place I parked it was at Carousel shops near the front door, and in the staff parking at Curtin, both places in clear view of security/people.
You'd firstly have to know they're worth something, how to take em off and have balls to do it in a public area. I'd gonna be suss on any GTR cap sales over the next week.
yep some d#*k stole one of mine at garden city shops last year!
carousel in known for skyline badges to mysteriously disappear, especially at night!

cheers guys thanks for the replies.
we've bought one of those steelcraft travel system with the transferable baby capsule to the pram. Only just fits in the centre back seat with a 1mm to spare but had to move both the back rest on both front sit though. Plus there is actually a centre anchor point in the back.
so all is good i hope...
p.s. boostin the car as much as i could before bub gets in (no more boostin then... )
-
Hey Guys,
As the topic says, we've got our 1st bub arriving very soon...and yes the R34 sedan will no doubt be more of a taxi now! (trying not to trade it in for a SUV).
Need some advise from all those parents out there who had manage to fit a baby capsule in the centre back sit of their R34s.
- How many anchorage point do i need? currently has 2 on the speak shelf, do i need one on the floor?
- Which brand of baby capsule fits best or u recommend?
- With the new regulations and all, any other handy tips would also help.
Thanks in advance!
-
i have a baby seat in the back of mine, fits in the middle fine,
i doubt you would fit 3 baby seats across the back however
but you might fit one baby seat and 2 boosters, we have another on the way and i only have a centre anchor point, gonna have to retro fit the others back in i guess!!
see how we go, the previous owner removed the 2 side ones to put awesome speakers in lolz
i reckon i can drill a hole in the back of the parcel shelf directly above the screw hole for the side ones and get an anchor point in!
hi mate,
ive got my 1st arriving very soon...do u mind posting pics or pm me some of ur centre baby sit, just need to see how u secure it. ie. anchor point below etc...
would be a huge help...
cheers

Sorry if theres a thread about this before but it be good to list all the known hot spot where u will end up getting ur skyline keyed if parked there.
Got my R34 bonnet keyed last night by some f^%ken low life piece of s%#t at Kardinya Shops. Straight though to the metal, across from one end to the other.
I swear if i catch this d&^$#d they'll die a slow painfull death!!
Anyways sorry about the rant
Cheers
p.s. anyone knows a good place to repair the panels.
