I'll be there in my daily so looking forward to a nice casual day.
Looks like it might take the rest of the year to get the EVO back 'on track' so to speak.

If you're doing numbers can I get 18 so I can leave the numbers from the last track day on :-D

Would an Aventador owner be seen dead at a supermarket!!
-
Hoot,
Is there an entry list anywhere?

Hi All,
Is anyone here doing the AROCA Sandown on fathers day next month?
Always good for a close to home day out there at Sandown.
-
Great day.
Most fun had in one day in a long time.
Being able to have passengers all day is awesome for everyone I think. Makes the day an experience for more than just the drivers.
Look forward to more of these types of events especially at Philip Island, that would just be the best.
Well done everybody.

Don't know it they know Skylines specifically but I took the EVO to Maroondah auto electrics on the corner of Canterbury road and Colchester road when I had problems.
My Air-con is now cool so that's good.
Worth a call maybe 9720 4539

GT-R corolla
haven't seen that before but the badge looks skyline'ish to me.
Let me know if I'm wrong
Cheers,

Don't have a DECA'able car anymore but will come up to help out.
Love the smell of those EVO clutches burning :-)
Might do shopping in the afternoon as well, but the mornings are definitely on.
How about being the guy who starts the miniwang cars off, that's easy for an old fudd?

Woh, 42.
That is the answer to the ultimate question of "life the universe and everything" so I used to think it was a LUCKY number but I blew an engine at Sandown when running that number so now I avoid it like the plague.
Superstition eh, a major component of motorsport, who would have thought.
1 now there is a good number :-D

My car will still be in bits I'd imagine.
Same here, it's been months now.
Maybe I should get a GT-R.
-
More correctly, can't transfer rego without RWC. If buyer gets RWC, you can continue on the same plates.
I wouldn't be too keen on letting someone I don't know drive my car that's still in my name while they get a roadworthy.
My understanding is that even if they had paid for the car until it's transferred the previous owner is liable for fines and such.
-
Woo hoo, uncooked onion and cake, my favorites (not together). will try to get there then.
-
Hmm. The sup regs for the upcoming John Mott Memorial Sandown mentions you may get fined for being over the noise limit.
Blue text halfway down
I'm entering anyway so I'll make sure I'm only 74.98dba
-
Can't sell a registered car without a roadworthy so the plates will need to be returned meaning a full re-registration (at your expense I guess incl VAS for mods)
or
maybe he is selling it as a part out.
-
Has anyone heard of, or been, fined as a result of an excessive reading at the track?
Read a ruling in some recent supp regs indicating it's possible/likely.
What is the fine for exceeding noise limits?
I reckon that on public roads they should give you a second chance to remedy it and then just send you home anyway.

good on yer
EVO's are nice too.

I did my 1st Island day the other week and found I and my car need a lot of improvement.
I don't whether to attend this, the event at Winton or head over to Sandown and watch. Decisions, decisions.
Sandown, hmm, what's on at Sandown on the 20th?
-
Hope that goes to the penguins. They are the ones who suffer from the noise right??
-
Part of the reason for the price increase ( and number of cars) is that it is also a round of the CAMS sprint championship, hence the 95dB allowance.
Ah, I see. Thanks for the info. I'll wait to see if the numbers stay near 80'ish and maybe enter then. Ta.
-
Closer to home.
That's good should make it this time.
-
Bah, don't need rear brakes. JK
BTW the small rattle in the EVO that developed at the Sandown round in May that caused me to miss this round turned out to be a cracked piston.
So now I've got a whole new engine as the bore was scored a bit to much to be fixed for a track engine.
Ha, the engine is worth as much as the rest of the car now!
Also the next WRX PI is looking for 125 cars to enter, and the cost is up to $250.
Did the island increase the hire cost lately or am I not concentrating as per usual and haven't noticed till now. Gotta stop breaking things so I can get in more track days :-(
-
Where do I send the postage to to get my jacket sent out?
Should have done that in the first place.

Up for this, it'll be my first track day in the EVO for years.
All we need to do is keep the rain away
