Hi ppl,
I’m in need of some urgent help…
I’ve sold the skyline, so I thought I’d be nice and go and put some fuel in it for the buyer… anyway turns out that I get defected on the way to the servo for a boost gauge. I pulled the gauge out and took it to a local workshop to get the defect cleared, then as I was driving home to put the gauge in I accidentally touched both of the power wires (the wires that connect to the bulb in the gauge) with my fingers. Immediately this shut off all of the dash lights. I noticed that all the warning lights still work (hazards, handbrake, engine, etc…) the only lights that don’t work are the instrument lights that illuminate the speedo and other gauges.
I thought it may have been a fuse, but I have pulled out the associated fuses (used the fuse chart found here http://www.overflow.250x.com/tips.htm) and replaced them with new ones, but the dash is still not working.
I thought that it may have blown the dimmer, so I have cut the wires going to the dimmer and joined them together.. still nothing.
Next, I cut the wires going to the boost gauge, still nothing.
Does anyone have any suggestions?? The bloke is supposed to be coming later tonight to pick up the car and I would really like to have the problem fixed by then. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Saw a red '33 Gtst today, "MENAGE" (i think) in Tuggerah
That's my mate Rob, he doesn't use the forums.
I followed, then drove infront of a silver SII R33 this morning on the M4 east bound from Cumberland HWY up until parramatta rd at the end of the M4. Plates were APU-66U. I was in a black Accord Euro.
Nice car dude!

sorry about the lack of replies dude...
I've been flat out lately, I've had a promotion at work which has kept me busy for the last couple of weeks. Plus I pulled apart all of our PC's at home and rebuilt them with bigger HDD's and CPU's so I haven't had any net at home for close to a month.

I've had my xbox modded and it works perfectly (cheapmod modchip and EvolutionX dash). I watched the guy go through the modchipping process and it looked really interesting. Does anyone here know how to modchip an xbox? I really want to learn the whole process and I'll offer a case of your fav poison for someone to go through it with me.
Oh yeah... must be in sydney.
Cheers.

Hi ppl,
I'm trying to create a small flash movie but I can't stand macromedia flash (too complicated). Is there any other software to create flash movies that is much simpler to use? (i'm thinking click and drag type stuff)
Cheers.

thanks for the compliments on the car and while we're handing them out, that exhaust of yours sounds awesome! What is it?

just like to say thanks for letting me tag along to those who were at the P6C carpark at homebush. I couldn't stay for long due to the whole valentine's day thingy but it was nice to finally meet some of the ppl from this forum.

Which way is the best to get to C6.. Hill Rd or Lane Cove/Mona Vale Rd?

Hey GTR032... i think I drove past you on saturday on the F3. I didn't even see you pulled over there, then my gf was like "that was a nice skyline pulled over back there".. "I'm like WHAT?? WHERE?? you should have told me!!!"
Sorry dude, I would have pulled over for sure had I seen you.. I'm all for this "skyline family" thingy
Check my sig to see if you saw me drive past... I'm pretty sure it would have been you though, how many other skylines would have been pulled over on the F3 near the Peats Ridge exit??

what sort of parking is available for spectators? Can you park around the back near scrutineering area or near the garage carpark area?

I got a Hybrid Monster intercooler, and I'd have to say it is an excellent cooler. The polished piping kit looks the goods as well. Installed in 5hrs and the improvement is sensational.
I got it for an awesome price as well, if your intersted PM me and I'll pass your details onto the seller.

yeah.. a mate from uni can do the odometers in 5 mins, he used to do it for 5 bucks for heaps of ppl who were selling their cars

I'm getting 18's on the weekend. I have a r33 gts-t and I'm wondering if it will need to be lowered to look half decent. I'm in a little bit of a dilema atm...
I either go 18's or 19's. I prefer 18's as rubber is cheaper and I tend to go through it quickly plus it may be better when I finally start attending track days. Problem is I want the rubber to be in line with the rear guard, I don't expect the rim to be covered without heavy lowering, but to have the rubber in-line with the rear guard lip would be nice. I'm also getting a GTR front bar fitted soon to help with the FMIC and I don't want to scrub it out to much, so ground clearance is a bit of an issue as well.
If anyone here has 18's on their 33's I'd love to see some pics... also if you could include a msg stating whether you have lowered it and by how much it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

I may be blind but where's the members Gallery?

Hi, I'm tossing up between a standard GTR or the 400R front bars. Which one is lower? Practicality is an issue when leaving the carpark at work so it can't be too low. I really like the side vents on the 400R item but I'm sure it looks lower in the picture.

*bump* - bike really needs to go

which sensor are you talking about?
Is it that plastic thing with the "H" on it that sits on that yellow plate?
My HICAS light comes on as well after about 15mins driving... I don't feel any differences in the car though, so does the light actually mean its not working, ris it just a warning? might have to remove the hicas bulb from the instrument cluster...
