  1. yeah i heard it on radio.. near toojay?

but least he is with his pride a joy o.o

"A Bellevue man died last night after the car he was driving split in two after slamming into a tree in Gidgegannup.

Insp. Trevor Davis said the 23-year-old lost control of the Nissan Skyline he was driving on Toodyay Road near Roland Road about 10pm .

He said that after rounding a bend, the car slid for more than 70 metres before hitting a tree on the driver's side.

"The impact was so severe that the vehicle split in two, the front end coming to rest 16 metres past the impact point," Insp. Davis said.

The man died at the scene. It is believed speed was a factor."

  2. *sigh* here comes the publicity

Hard to say what caused the accident though, out in Gidgegannup there are some fast roads, so he may not have been doing anything wrong. Will have to wait and see... In any case, hope he rests in piece.

car ripped in 2 means a good chance of doing something wrong but that doesnt take away from the fact that it is still sad. most of us including myself went through that stage, luckily most of us come out the other end - but i lost a mate on the way so news stories like this make me cringe

  3. "Wtf....everyone jumps on the P Plater/Hoon bandwagon? It was a fkn skyline not a commodore. The thing you people don't realise is those with import vehicles have allot of love and pride for our cars. Any 'crazy driving' is done on the track. It's quite a common theme that 'hooning' is not condoned in the imports scene. Young Commodore drivers have a different view and have different influences than those with imports, hence where the burnouts and 'hooning' originated. There's been no specific information on the accident so before everyoen starts speculating, how about show a little fkn consideration and sympathy for those who have lost a love one, and such a young life to loose."

it made it mel :( yours made it too bubba

  5. mmm pants

Pods are like a rear bar except they only cover like the left and right side not the middle bit of the back.

    That didn't really make sense.

    Like this:

get these skirts - i think they match the front bar - i think its the same as mine

sidenote: how hard are pods to fit? can do it yourself?

  6. will definately need to pump the guards for legal fit - plus your track will be illegal (but bloody close) which should only be a problem if you go over the pits and they measure them.

You will probably need to run a 215 tyre or the tyres may rub - or you pump extra and remove the inner guard (plastic) or fit glass wider guards.

Getting similar offset on the rear will require rather more massaging of the guards than the fronts (just in case you were thinking of going down that path)

I believe Tech9tyres can pump guards for you if your not up to it, they used to a while back.

    rears are 18x9.5 at +25

    thanks for the advice bud

  7. yeh im hoping i can get away with stretching a tyre over them - im going to full lock the car later today and see where it is closest... i dont know what camber i have atm

so if your offset is 30 and mine is 17 that means mine should poke out 13mm more than yours IF we had the same width rim but considering mine is .5 of an inch skinnier and there are 25.4mm in an inch that means mine are 12.7mm skinnier

so can someone confirm that mine (by my math - it might be wrong) is going to poke out .3mm more than your rims NickR33... is that right?

    hehe thanks

  8. I have 18x9" +30 on the front of mine too. Fills the guards nicely.. I'm using 235s

I assume +17 will just stick out a little more, but your rims will be half an inch thinner.

    I reckon they'll fit easy, unless I don't know what I'm waffling on about. (I don't)

yeh im hoping i can get away with stretching a tyre over them - im going to full lock the car later today and see where it is closest... i dont know what camber i have atm
