sure the R32 GTR is a great car, no argument there; but to advise Merceid to just do a "normal car check", is not good advice. to be sure he is not buying a lemon/money pit, he needs to spend the money to get a thorough GTR specific inspection.

not everyone knows wot they are looking at when they look at a car do they...suppose thats not fair of me too say that to a r32 gtr newbie.
im a mechanic and have had three r32gtrs and have seen alot of r32s. the most obvious things can tell you alot about any cars history, age, condition, ect.
if i could tell you anyone to take a gtr to in qld.if they have got the time to inspect it that is, would be mark at godzilla motorsport. who else would you wanna take your gtr too than the guys with the fastest and most powerful gtrs in aus...

for starters not all 94 gtrs are vspec cause my gtr was built 09/94 the best thing about 94 gtrs are they have had the soft older model gremlins eliminated like the push type clutch the 94s have an r33 pull type clutch set up and r33 cranks with a bigger collar for the oil pump.i dont know why every one has bagged old r32 gtrs as they are the original godzilla and are an amazing car to own and drive.so just do a normal car check high ks clutch and brake pedal wear handbrake wear will tell you alot about ks versus truth check oil leaks and usual underbody checks alot of cars look mint on the serface put them on a hoist and things become alot clearer.dont believe the hype get a clean low k 94 if poss and enjoy modifying it your self so then you will know what youve got 4 your self

the cops h8 cf in qld as i have found out.as for vents they arnt showie they are functional not fashionable unber bonnet temps love ventilation.as for water on your moter your engine will run with a gerni spraying at it.i do know that the r32 gtr alloy bonnet is the same weight as cf and i agree that the 33 bonnets weigh as much as 2 bags of cement.custom carbon in qld has closed aswell gd luck with your bonnet search you may aswell get a fiberglass one if your gonna paint it anyway.

hey all, i'm after the piece of 32/33GTR intake pipe that goes to the inlet plenum from the inner guard.. any info would be awes, cos no wreckers around here have them, and if they do its on a half cut so they don't wanna part with it

Anyone has any suggestion on good/reliable/professional tuner around Brisbane area? I will be looking for 1 once I get my hands on a power fc and boost controller (anyone selling?). I am hoping to get around 300kW out from the N1 without losing reliability. This is a stock R33 GTR V-Spec N1. Currently it has a Trust Titanium exhaust system as the only performance mod and nothing else.

hey mate go to godzillamotorsport and see about a vipec ecu you will need a good fuel system aswell if your after 300kw i have had a vipec ecu installed and are glad i didnt go 4 a power fc the vipec has been awesome and fully recommend the ecu and mark at godizilla motorsport good luck with ya build

Hi Guys,
My name is Shane and I'm the General Manager of PSI Parts (www.psiparts.com.au).
I will try to clear up a few mis-conceptions about frp and carbon fibre hoods.
When you replace the bonnet with either of the above materials the whole vehicle needs to be complied. There is NO such thing as an ADR approved bonnet, despite what some people claim. This is because there is no set ruling for after market hoods Australia wide.
We sell a wide variety of carbon fibre and frp hoods and trunks and our customers have not reported any trouble with the police. I have had numerous accounts from customers of how they were given a Defect Notice for multiple things but the carbon bonnet and boots were ignored. This is because there is NO LAW against them, having set that, there is no law stating they are legal as well. They lye in the grey area of the law. The law does however state that if you change any panels forward of the firewall you need a Compliance Certificate. We have contact many state and territory road authorities and have not been able to get a clear statement on what we can do to make them legal.
Also to clear up a few rumours going around about carbon fibre, it DOES NOT shatter and cut peoples heads and arms off. It is a very strong and stable material and in fact will hold up very well in the case of an accident because of the construction method. I believe these come about from people who know very little about the material and its properties. After all they do make Formula 1 monocoques from carbon fibre which need to withstand 300+ Km/h impacts with out killing the driver.
If anyone has any questions I will be glad to try and answer them.
hey mate ive had many defects ova this issue
one being the vents facing backwards,the next being the shatter properties and then not being adr crash tested three cops three outcomes this really pisses me off cause as you know every defect canary one point.i would love this issue clarified as wot needs to be done till then still running with a carbon ova fibreglass vented bonnet.

t618z turbos happy with the new ecu reccomend them.
340 atw std fuel system to date,white no rear spoiler,carbon bonnet.

haha we are new 2 sau aswell so we will probably be the other lost looking ones haha.my girl just said shes seen a chick drivn round in a gtr lately is it black lowered on nice rims?
