Just wanna say that I've seen this car around and it always manages to turn my head.
One of cleanest R32's I've ever seen.
Where the f**k were you when I was looking to buy not long ago?? lol
-
f**k dudes....way to try and change a brother's mind!
Please...NO MORE "Go the GTR" posts...I can't handle it! lol
If I DO find a nice clean one...I'll go for it....I don't like my chances though
f**k it...
if ANYONE HERE has a clean GTR, thats HONESTLY clean and trouble free...CONTACT ME ASAP, Im looking to buy within a week
I'm DEAD SERIOUS
gotta be in Melbourne though, as much as I love travel, just don't have the time right now.

saw two 32's today...GTR's that is
way too old and I just don't have the time for restorations and things going wrong.

Word up.
Got a quote from Just Cars... $1100 for the R34
not bad at all
will try GIO as they are pretty excellent
and then Shannons
-
I've made up my mind
R34 it is
Will start hunting for a nice example right now
black or white, manual, turbo, with preferably a nice body kit, decent wheels, etc...
and so it begins
How much do you guys pay for insurance?
Rating 1
no claims
no speeding tickets
clean driving record
used to pay $1200 for the STi with Shannons
-
if it wasn't purple id buy it now
damn shame
-
sent you a SMS
-
who's been chewing on the steering wheel?
If i can get it cheap enough to get a GTR front bar and a rear wing, might be a goer for me.
At what RPM does boost kick in?
Is it laggy?
-
this is bullshit
you're in Brisbane?
I'm in Melbourne
and I want this car
-
BTW...can someone recommend some decent importers in Melbourne I can speak to?
I don't remember if it was on here or elsewhere that I saw a MINT R32 GTR, freshly imported from Japan, with something like 40,000kms on it and it looked like it just rolled out of the showroom.
Interior was MINT!
-
thanks guys
I'm in Melbourne
and yes, from the looks of things on carsales, every 'cheap' GTR on there looks battered
gotta have patience
-
GTR it is
and now the hunt begins
(one I was looking at turned out to be a bit...ehhhhhh)
-
PM me your mobile number dude

Hey dudes... time has come to get a Skyline, as I don't plan to drive the STi's around all that much (modding one for track work, etc..other to keep stock). Now...the dillema I have is this: I have two options/opportunities at the moment.
One is for a R32 GTR in very nice condition with quite a few mods and lots of power. Other is a R34 GT-T, great condition, almost stock, standard power. While I like the look of the R32 better, and the fact that driving one feels like youre driving an overpowered go-kart, i cant go past the fact that the EXACT history of a 20 year old car can be very hazy, and for all i know car could be on its way out a week after I drive it. The R34 on the other hand is newer, interior (this is a big, BIG thing for me) is newer, usually cleaner, the car still looks good...but obviously without external enhancements (front lip, spoiler, etc..) and more power it will look like every other Skyline on the road. Being that they're priced roughly the same....bite the bullet and get the R32 GTR becouse...well...its a GTR and a much better car, or get the R34, something newer, more reliable, etc...? Please note, I am only weighing up these options as they're very similar in the price range. Car will be driven to and from work, to shops, etc... I am not looking for a state of the art GTR for $35,000. Both will be cheap, every day cars ( maybe minus all the repairs for the GTR )
-
I still like it
might come have a look this weekend dude
-
As I can't be bothered reading through all this crap...is the car still available?
Whats wrong with the engine? and does ANYONE know how much you pay for compliance (if it passes)??
I have cash in my hand, ready to give it to someone.
I have 2 STi's, but a Skyline might be nice too to drive to the milkbar and back

thanks for the replies guys
Im gonna give R32's a miss, GTR or not.
Having driven a few of them, they actually FEEL 20 years old, and everything rattles, car feels like its gonna fall apart.
I'll either save for a R34, or just by another Rexy and be done with it
-
SO here I am again, trying to decide what to buy for $15,000 this time.
I was thinking R34, manual, turbo as they are newer and just feel 'sturdier' than a R32 (no R33's thanks).
Look on carsales...hardly anything..and same with these forums.
I thought they were cheaper than that?
I guess I thought wrong
I could get a R32 GTR, but to find one in GREAT condition that hasn't been as pounded as Heather Hunter would be pretty hard.
R32 GTR...or R34??
R34 in white or black...hottt, especially with a 'mild' body kit.
someone help!

Hayabusa handles like a yatch
no thanks

Talk Me Out Of Buying A R34
in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Posted
Well looking for a new 'fun' car and R34 is on the list.
I hear a lot of rice this, rice that, but whatever....I like them, always have and with the right mods (internal and body) they look amazing.
So my current picks are...classic STI, Bug STI, or a R34.
I wanna hear why I should NOT get one, coz more than likely I will.
Plan was to buy a R34 GTR but will spend my money on a LONG holiday and buy a GTT instead.
Looking at some with a nice, simple bodykit, exhaust, low km's (clocks wound back much?), good paint, and clean...in general.
Will be driving it to work, weekends, etc..
Tell me why i shouldn't buy one?
