  1. It was a busy roundabout and I didn't see her coming, so I got hit as I entered the roundabout from the RHS! :|

I only managed to get one pic before the car got towed away, here it is for what it's worth.

Note: Front has had some modifications to accomodate top secret front bar that *used* to be there.

Thanks for the advice SAU! It's been really helpful. I've been looking for parts, anyone got a R quarter panel (front) and drivers side headlight to spare? :(

I feel for you man. White R33 Series II's are nice looking cars.

  2. hey mate i have not had the car dynoed but looking at the 170-180atw mark

and car runs great as it should :P

That's a pretty decent gain mate.

I was just wondering as I had a Galant a few cars ago. I was going to modify it, but after doing some research I found out the ecu was pretty anal. Most other people gained fuel mixture problems. Then again mine was a 2000 model, and in the later models the emissions were much more strict.

Anyway you have done the hard yards if it's running well. Somebody buy this if they want a good Legnum!

  3. yeah that angle would not be safe to run an engine crane on.

depending on what they want in the wreck you could cut the front off. but I think easiest would be to drop the front subframe and get them to lift the shell off leaving just the subframe andmotor on ground.

to do this you need to undo gearbox cross member, 8 engine subframe bolts. top shock mounts. upper control arms, brake lines and abs sensors. that should do it.

    Thanks Duncan.

After I did that, what would be the best way to get the engine onto a ute? The only thing I can think of to lift something that heavy is an engine crane.

  4. Having troubles getting out an engine from my R33 GTS-T. Firstly, the car is situated on a thirty degree slope, and there is no place to have it flat. I am trying to sell it to someone, but I don't want to give them the entire wreck for the price of just the engine ($2,000), as there is still a fair bit of valuable stuff in it (automatic transmission, differential, brakes, etc).

The biggest issue is that I need the car gone in eight days. The council doesn't like a wreck parked on the road...

Would pulling it out with an engine crane be too dangerous? Any other ways I could do this?
