  1. 400kw daily driver or 400kw track car?

    A daily driver I think you can get away with running quality trans fluid like Royal Purple, Motul, Redline etc.

    As for track car is another story, cheapest option would be to just keep buying nissan 5 speed as they die, since even replacement gear sets by PPG, OS Gilken etc aren't invulnerable.

    It would manly be a daily driver maybe getting on the drag strip every now and than there's no circuits around here so it would be use on one of them really just the street ive got redline shock proof gearbox oil to put in it my mate said it was the best but still don't want to destroy the box and have to replace it. Also if i go a ppg or OS Giken gearbox what sort of gear box (dogmesh?) I still want the driveability of the factory gearbox just want to know it can handle the power.

  2. Hi Guys im looking at producing about 400rwkw out of my GTR and have been told that the gearbox's are weak in them does any one have any advice or know of a place to get into contact with about upgrading the gearbox to be able to take the punishment

  3. Damn hoses coming loose!

    Thats why i mentioned the AFM. When i had a similar problem...they tell me the vacuum hose to the AFM had gotten disconnected so it wasnt getting the right reading! such a minor thing, so many major pain in the ass consequences =b

    Thanks guys had a look through it today and found one of the afm's was buggered and full of water looks like were on the right track thanks for your help really appreciate it.

  4. Thanks mate i bought the car privately. And yeah my mates a light vehicle mechanic with work don't know how much he knows about imports.

    It has a walbro 500hp fuel pump in it so it should be getting enough fuel but ill have a look at the leads and plugs.

  5. Hi Guys

    I have just recently bought a 90 model R32 GTR it ran well when i bought it home but now it feels like its starving of fuel about 4000 revs below that runs like a dream but when the turbo's really start to work it doesn't want to rev like it should and shutters a bit one of my mates thats a mechanic said it had a bad batch of fuel so i run the tank out and changed the fuel filter and its still doing it.

    Any help on this problem would be great the motor is pretty much standard so is pretty responsive and goes really well to 4000-4500 revs than just starts to play up.
