  1. 25 Australia street is the same mob as Allimports, and all those private for sale ads on carsales, jimmy and all other names he's known by.

ALso something I was told by a mechanic who was checking a private sale car out for me was that Japlink which are next door(same car lot but theres a fence seperating them) to the Allimports yard on Parramatta road, are not associated with each other, apparently the Allimports guys had a deal with the previous owner/s of Japlink and that the new owner of Japlink had to honour an existing deal with Allimports on sharing the lot and he also wouldn't comment on Allimports, just smiled and nooded his head when I mentioned them and the supra and rep they have.

If anyone knows otehrwise please don't shoot me down, just relaying something I was told by someone who appears and presumably is independent.

edit:also i recommend reading evolutionoz for another view.

  2. Exactly what I was thinking.

That method doesnt make sense at all. There will be a torrent of both cds available... simple

The only thing they can do to protect themselves is do one massive groupbuy... which im sure we can make happen, if only they agree.

or if they're open to someone setting themselves up as a distibutor.

  3. what was it that turned you off?

Someone else told me to just go look myself as they wouldn't offer an opinion.

So I went and looked at a car I was interested in, the car itself I was over it after one lap of it, and there was a lot more interesting stuff going on elsewhere in the place, a chat here or there and the confirmation in another threads thats where the Supra came from and reading on evolutionoz, I was out of the place didn't want to take the risk given their history. If you want specifics just pm me.

  4. yer the ones on parra rd. They seemed to be well informed and pretty straight forward but after that incident regarding the supra im having doubts.

visiting their warehouse was the clincher for me,I was turned off for a couple of reasons I think we spent about 10mins there and left.

Not saying all their cars would be duds, but shop wisely and don't fall in love if you do see something that interests you there.

  5. haven't used them but looking for someone to help me possibly import, but I can say J-spec won't disappear with your money they've been around for years. I actually should shoot them an email also.

  6. What can be used from an illegal car? Is the engine allowed to be put in a road registered car? Other parts? If your car is flagged can't buy a registerable rolling shell and transfer parts ?

    Just curious

yeh I think so. I'm pretty sure I read a thread a few years back on supraforums about a guy whose TT Supra was knocked back for compliance, in the end I'm pretty sure he got an NA aerotop and transfered all the gear to that.

  7. are there many of these dealers/warehouses at camperdown? or possibly could someone who knows pm some info about them ie. what they're like to deal with, reputation etc. I got a feeling I know who it is and I'm interested as I'm after a V35 but had no dealings with them, except over the phone and was given an explanation for why they have numerous ads/sellers, which sounded fair and reasonable.
