    yeh i know that but i think just for the price comparison of the two, you definitely get more out of a m35. i drove a legnum and wasnt impressed to be honest

    yeah true. the one I had a spin of had the boost up'ed a few psi and larger FMIC, and on boost it drinks like a whale. but i think the AYC in the Legnum around some twisty's is where the Legnum really shines. EVO handling ftw.

    But as a family car... the M35 Stagea is a better option. Thus, my interest. Im just also a big fan of the Legnum VR4, spent a bit of time over at OzVr4.

    now dont be like that. stock for stock the Legnum VR4 has a lot more punch than the Stagea.

    its ok to be Nissan loyal, but the Legnum VR4 is still a damn fast wagon. And if it wasnt for the mega expensive servicing and parts... id definitely be looking to slide into one. Although compared to a M35, the old VR4 is starting to look a bit dated.

  3. so because the kit is standard (well, an option im guessing) it would mean sourcing one in the future would be less hard than say a more... rare bodykit? Theres probably a fair few of them floating around? in Japan?

    sorry if i sound like a nissan/import noob... but i am. new to all this world after 10 years driving V8's.

  4. looking into M35 Stagea's and after a search around I found this pic of a kit I like on it. what kit does this Stagea have? its from carsales and its a 2002.

    He says its a Nismo kit, but i googled the Nismo M35 and the pictures online dont look like this... especially the grill.

    anyways, here it is. I quite like this. not very in your face.

  5. Anyone here use their M35 Stagea as a daily family car? I currently own a VZ exec wagon for the same purpose and would prefer something a bit 'sportier' in a family mover. So to you who do use your Stagea as a daily... A few questions?

    Average fuel consumption (with minimal mods) drove normally? My VZ gets around 10-10.5L/100kms babying it for comparison.

    Insurance? Mega expensive? (28y.o/perfect history)

    Service costs? Compared to the average Aussie family car? I expect it to be a little more expensive due to it being an import, but not say... Legnum expensive?

    In general... Does an M35 Stagea make a good family car?

  6. Only discovered these existed a few days ago. I'm looking for some more info. experiences... story's? good or bad buy? hows the V8 engine?

    After some searching theres a couple of nice ones @modifiedcars.com, big wheels, lowered. they look very schmick and well priced for import considering what you get. The big draw card for me with these cars are the 4.5L V8 quadcam engines and AWD (i just love a V8 growl). I'm looking at the last of the series (01-09)... F50?

  7. Looking at importing either a 98-99 stagea rsfour-v or 98-00 Mitsubishi legnum vr4 type s. Both good cars! Been for a spin in a leggy vr4 and was very impressed, but I've never been in an equivlent stag! I thinks it's only fair I do before I make my choice what to import. Agree?

    So I'm asking if there are any series 1 or 2 stagea owners near bendigo Vic that wouldn't mind lending some time to take me for a drive in their stagea... If you know anyone please get them on to this thread. Pm me or text Ryan on 0402931745.

    i own a VY SS M6 but have always had a thing for Stagea's with the R34 front end conversion (i love wagons).

    so im over here just doing a bit of research on how one would go about this including costs etc.

    not saying im going to sell up and get a stag and convert it, just curious if it would be possible.

  9. From memory the MASA kit is about 5k. Its all fibreglass IIRC. Its essentially replacement parts specific for the stagea to make it LOOK like a R34, not parts off an actual R34 (although I'm sure there are similarities).

    yeah i was figuring $6K+

    any links to somewhere about this MASA kit? info?

  10. hey guys, new to stagea's. i just have a quick question.

    whats the 'average' cost for a full R34 front end conversion on a 99'/00' Stagea? (more so a 99'/00' RS4-S)

    i LOVE the R34 front end look and wouldnt consider a Stagea if i couldnt include the conversion into the cost of purchase.

    is there a workshop/s that offer a drive in/drive out (inc a bit of time in the shop of course) R34 conversion?

    if theres a tread with all the answers im looking for please (which im sure there is) feel free to link me.
