  1. Nope, fronts are supposed to be 83159, rears are corect at 70191. I am working through fixing all the listings at the moment.

If you have 83139 please PM me and I will arrange for a swap.

    cheers :D

so are these a standard hieght spring or a lowered one? can anyone confirm?

  2. Hey guys. Haven't posted here for aaaages. Was a while without net and then a while without my license, so this was just a tease, lol.

Back on the road now and slowly getting on top of my finances so looking to maybe get some stuff done to the Stagea again.

So I think its about time I replaced the brake pads. For starters I think it's been about 25,000kms of typically fairly aggressive driving since the brakes have been touched. Secondly I'm now having a very quiet scraping noise coming from my front left wheel when I brake, which I believe would be due to very worn pads.

Now I've been pointed in the direction of Lucas for brake pads as apparently they're very good value for money. Good performance and a good price tag.

If I was to go down this path, I was wondering if anyone would have part numbers to suit my '99 S2 RS4-S??

Also, while replacing the pads, I thought, if affordable, it might be worth upgrading the rotors. I don't need/want anything extreme, but having something a bit better than stock to back up the 180 odd kilowatts at the wheels (which is a figure that will only get higher) would be reassuring. I looked at Brembos in the past and they are way out of my budget.

Was just wondering if anyone knows of some good rotors for a good price that would be a nice, modest upgrade for my beast?

(part numbers would be very helpful with any suggestions if possible - Thanks)

    Thanks everyone :P

P.S. I had a brief squizz through the brakes thread, but shit... It is a massive pain to read through even a quarter of it when I can only view one post at a time!!

if i remember correctly, R33 GTst brakes or r33 gtr brakes or r32gtr brakes, or r34 gtt brakes if you get the whole set up, but for the r33/r32 brakes require some alterations to the brakelines as per brake thread.

    umm yes please now!

yep add me to the list of buying them when i win lotto, 2 in fact blue one for the wife and black with black interior for me, something about black cars with dark tint and black leather interior does it for me (of course the car still needs to look sex as well)

  4. pm sent

pity this wasnt going up later when i am in a better financial position, i would buy the block, im thinking of rebuilding one, but i cant have my car off the road so thinking of buying a block rebuilding it and then eventually swapping it for my current block. ;ooking alot more pretty and me knowing exactly what i have.

  5. 13 months???? surely that's not an entire 13 months in a repair shop?

assuming that 1 person works on it for 8 hrs a day for 11 months (this takes out holidays, some time the car spends waiting for paint to dry etc) at $50/hr (that's probably less than they charge), that's $22,000 in labour alone. either that should have been a write off, you're getting diddled on the time front, or they're absolutely killing themselves in undercharging...

i apologise if i've got the wrong end of the stick, but that's excessive...

at a guess i would say it has been 13 months since damage, ten there is sorting out insurance getting quotes, he insurance company being happy ordering the stuff waiting for the stuff to get here, booking the car in, waiting for them to have time to do it, work taking place etc etc. plus if was a someone crashed into you insurance could take longer if insurance company is chasing money from a 3rd party insurance company etc.

altho when you add the above figures up like you have you would hope its not correct otherwise it wouldnt even cover the apprentices wage.

  6. ill be keen.... if the 260 has sold by then ill bring the family hyundai tuson down for shits

hmmmm the 6th? i get there on the 5th, pity im not driving, altho would be nice to go so i can watch and meet a few of you, just will be using public transport there. hmmm wonder how hard it would be to convince the wife, , my 3 year old will love it so he is easy lol.

  7. ......Chasing rear door window glass. Only because the darkness of the glass has been deemed illegal !!! I think all stagias

have the dak glass, any assistance appreciated . Cheers Mike

if it is the factory privacy glass then it is complied that way, therefor it is not defectable.

basically the ruling goes if there is seats it is meant to be no more than 35% anything BEHIND that can be what ever darkness provided you have both door mirrors. however with the stagea as it was made with te privacy glass and complied with privacy glass it is legal on your rear door windows as well as everythign behind that. make sure whoever has deemed the glass illegal taht they are aware taht it is privacy glass and that it is complied with tis glass in it as it is factory.

i had an issue with my cordia. the model i had the tail lights were very dark, they were deemed tinted. i told them they were standard in fact they were off 2 different cars as i had a broken one so i replaced it with a good one. at the end of the day i was required to bring in some extra lights (i brought in another 3 pairs as i had a few wrecks) and tey had no coice but to pass them.

  8. I can't see any buttons on it but I'm not sure ey, That sounds like it could be a possiblity. And yes it is a black face one.

this is the reason for your constant power. the constant power will be your power source to turn the face from black to show all the gauge information, the ignition switch would be to tell it to turn on, kind of like an Amp for your stereo. the dim light would be when you turn your lights on the back light of the boost guage dims, so you dont get taht bright glare in your face.

  9. is it one of the boost gauges where you can change the colour of the back light? i had one in my old car (only so i could match its colour to the rest of the dash lights) the only reason it has constant is so that the colour come back to what you left it on. mine wasnt done correctly as a result reset back to colour a, which was annoying as it wasnt the colour i wanted.

another option is it has a constant back light that dims when you switch your lights on, rather than no light - light when you lights are on.

or if it is a black face one, then it will need constant power so you can see the gauge when you turn it on.

other than any of the other previously stated reason i have no idea

*******edit oh wait you said its electircal, needs power constantly to operate when lights are off, otherwise it will only work when you lights are on. the above reason were for if it was mechanical.

  10. hmmmm mines family spec beause of reasons noone else has listed

the car seat in the back :ninja:

and the Baby on board sticker. still doesnt stop p platers "racing me" whe they see/hear the exhaust................. i just laugh and watch them roar off like its the fast and the furious.

  11. cheers matey. yeh everything bar bottom end is modd'd...

but its not like I rev up there all the time. engine is healthy currently.

found after a spin last night that different profec b settings resulted in different rpm cuts

10% gain 1bar boost revcut at 6500 rpm whereas 10% gain 1.15bar boost saw 6800rpm gear changes and no revcut

    weird

monday; trackday. will try to sort out during the day.

i think mine is still pulling hard when it up changes too, at some stage ill get it dyno tuned and i guess ill see if this is the case.

  12. i think you'd run into trouble with the reo and supports running the pipe up the top.

probably but you could probably change the pipework. i wasnt saying do it i was just saying that if it could run the same way teh evo did it would allow for the cooler to sit a bit lower and not have to worry about having intercooler pipes running under it, at a very low level.

  13. hmmm if you could mount the intercooler up the other way so the pipe runs above the cooler like on the evo rather than under it you would have more surface area exposed and not have the proble of the pipe being lower than the front bar.
