  1. hi guys,

Just need a couple of points cleared up please. Replacing a walbro gss294 with a walbro gss342

1- do I need to cut the bottom off the cradle and attach using a hose clamp?

2- do I bother with the foam sleeve?

3- The old pump had wire with "spade" connectors on which clipped to + and - of the pump will this be fine to use instead of the supplied clip and then soldering the wires together?

    cheers Rob

  2. Hi guys, just bought a wallbro gs342 to replace my wallbro gss294 and need clarification on a couple of points.

1- as the bottoms of the pumps are different do I just cut off the bottom of the cradle and hose clamp the pump in place?

2- the old pump didn't use the supplied wire and clip it just has fittings on the end of the wires attached to the cradle, this will be ok to use?

3- do you bother with the foam sleeve provided?

    cheers Rob

    Thanks Rob

  4. yeh hit it up - long story short you need a hicas lock bar and need to plug your power steering lines

i did it on my 32 with a mate in about an hour - its just a broad minded person undoing some of the nuts, but pretty simple really

you'll need a wheel alignment after however

where do you get a hicas lock bar? and how much was it?

  7. hey I have a intermitent dry bearing noise in my 32 gtst. it is hard to pin point and doesn't do it all the time. it doesn't matter if it's cold or hot it only does it some times. It is a daily driver and may not do all week but then does it for one trip then its fine again. The car drives normal and doesn't use any oil or water, any thoughts? as I can't take it to a machanic as it doesn't do it all the time.
