Series 3 Auto Trans Into Series 2 Ti

the Ti has been on tyres and ramps for 2 months, anyone with helpful advice about wiring the trans to the car, much appreciate it -
Does anyone know anything about wiring up a series 3 trans into a series 2, has it been done? I can tell the plugs are different but that shouldn't make the wires different should it?
