  1. It does it turning both ways. Im thinking it's not the steering anymore. It did the sound when i was turning around the corner but i actually wasn't moving the wheel with it made the sound. do you get me? RPM i cant realy say, my exhaust is realy loud and i can only hear the noise about 1000 - 2500rpm. also cant decipher if it's low or fast speeds cause everything is realy loud when im driving. Im not too clued up on steering... do you have any idea what it could be?

steering still feels the same, nothing has changed, but this weird noise....

    thanks.

  2. search function is there to be used.

    Topic covered 11ty times.

also, if you want a cheap place, you'll end up spending more as thats what it is...cheap!

unigroup in Toongabbie/7 hills is where Id take it

If i wanted a mechanic 3 hours drive i would have used the search tool. I specifically put Alexandria because i wanted some places around Alexandria. But thanks for your recommendation, ill give em a call.

  3. He's not really near Alexandria, but I can recommend Mark out at MRC Performance at Castle Hill. Fair prices, no B.S, generally nice guy. He built/services my mates 180, it's pretty neat/tough & he is pretty fussy with who touches his car.

I just re-entered the world of Skyline ownership myself, and Mark will be looking after it too.

    His site is:

thanks alot! will check them out :P

  4. This is for problem 3 and 3 continued:

my clutch is squeaking like hell when i let it out. I went to the mechanic and he said the clutch itself is f**ked. Since then iv done a bit of research and figured that it's a possibility that if you grease the shit out of the slave cylinder, the fork thing and also pifot bearing inside the bell housing of the clutch it should stop it. The clutch itself works fine. but the squeakyness never stops, even when the car is of.

for problem 3 continued, im pretty sure i have the same thing. it's best to be in a quiet place and put it in nutral and when you put the clutch in the 'noise' stops. The noise starts again when when you release the clutch and it starts at the exact point of clutch contact. I figured it was just the gearbox or something like that spinning and has to resistance because it's in neutral so it sounds a bit loose. Would something just need to be tightened?
