I've got a 2003 Vectra CDXi auto. The 2006 has had the gearbox issue update which plagued the earlier model so no issue there. As for parts, dont buy them here As an example, for a water pump for those, Holden wanted $550! From the UK, $55AUD, enough said. Pretty comfy car, plenty of extras etc. In saying that, the Mazda 6 has a good rep, although I haven't driven one.

It's an EPA standard. Have a look here under section 1 - Intake Systems https://epanote2.epa.vic.gov.au/EPA/publications.nsf/2f1c2625731746aa4a256ce90001cbb5/c90ec843f3bbbe8fca256d9f00181c59/$FILE/1031.pdf

I moved to Melbourne back in the late 80s and my dad always planed to take me down there on a friday night... ...I've still never been...
I would like to take the Skyline over there one day... ...But I've got no one to go over with... ...I'm in Dandenong and don't finish work until 7pm... ...So most of the time it's home straight after work...
They do Saturday Drags as well purely for that reason Next one is 21st May http://www.calderpark.com.au/events/may-21-saturday-drags.aspx
But yes, Rain is usually a pain out here, although last friday night was clear.

I was reading the HeraldSun today and there was a story of someone getting busted changing the records of speeding fines. Don't suppose this bloke is from Craigieburn and is the one in question?

just play that music they play at train stations that keep the junkies away. Or that fog light sensors idea sounds good like the above guy mentioned. Either way do what ever you possible can..dont let him win..dont let him think he can walk all over yous..
Yep, the music works as well. And as one of the other members said above, at the end of the day it's your bosses responsability to ensure a safe workplace. All he needs to do is create an enviroment that these guys don't feel comfortable in and they will find somewhere else to do what they do. Lighting, Cameras, Music and anything else you can think of is only going to help you guys out with this situation.
-
On a serious note. call the cops he would of been just making up some of the shyt to scare you.
Would have to agree with this comment 100%
Other thing you could do is get some sensor activated high intensity flood lights installed there so that every time they tried to do something shifty near your car parks it would be lit up like the MCG. They would soon find another place away from you to conduct their business. Also display the CCTV warning signage. If it doesn't scare them off, it will scare their customers off.
-
Can you get them dealing on the camera's? If so, that will help out the police. The carparking issue is one for the landlord to sort out, but they never will.

L2S here

Thanks guys
Will resend the application.
My bank tells me the money went through .. will include reference number etc in the email.
Just remember, you don't need to put your club membership number on your CAMS application, you just need to present you club membership and cams licence together at track days so just send in your CAMS application, that will take longer than your SAU membership to arrive anyway

i dunno where but i think i read somewhere that there's like a code of conduct or something in relation to speed cameras, i think it mentions stuff like distance to speed limit changes and that if you get done more than once on the same stretch of road you only have to cop the first fine, for example if your speeding on the western ring road from start to end and you go through all of the cameras you only have to wear the first one, i think it also said something about going through the same camera multiple times that you only have to pay the first time, for example if you've gone through it a couple of times before you get the first fine. i'm not totaly sure on it but it might pay to google it or something...
Yep, all the stuff you need is here http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/camerascutcrashes There is a handbook that is used for the placement of cameras etc on that site as well somewhere.

Relax guys please...
The form says 15 business days for a reason... That is to allow us to do what needs to be done.
It's not as simple as me pointing to a PC and going "let there be memberships"... As fun as that would be - It's actually a fair amount of time/effort for 3 people.
I have a list that was provided to me today to give access, i will do it when i get home.
For anyone else your memberships will be processed in due time.
If it is urgent because you were unable to plan your life... read the form... your dog ate the original form or whatever...
Then EMAIL the SAU-Vic Secretary as stated in the Information Thread & The SAU-Vic Website - MAIL TO: SAU-Vic Secretary
FYI - I don't check PM's all that often either. Given i can be lucky enough to get 50/week. Currently i have 70 or so outstanding to read
Thanks
Ash
Sorry Ash
But thanks for fixing it up, much appreciated

AFAIK, you're not legally required to carry a spare, but if carrying one, it must be in roadworthy condition...
Thats my understanding too.

Bullocks.
Sticking to the man is not violence
Mate, your condoning the violence, which is obviously "violence". Sticking it to the man can be done in much better ways.
If you want to live in a country that solves issues this way, go live in one!
*rant over*

Sounds weak and ineffective. It's just a waste of time and road space
Greeks, founders of democracy having fed up with incompetent governments and decision makers, voice their dissapproval through brute strength in the streets in masses, forcing their government to make necessary changes. It's people controlling the government the way how democracy should be
What we have here in piss weak Australia is government controlling the masses and making decisions on our behalf, removing that another inch of our freedom
Get wild, get angry.. get on the streets like the Athenians do
Did you ever think that the reason we have alot of nationalities in melbourne is because they are trying to get away from all the violence in their own countries?
-
not a skyline but i still like it, heyyss ^^
lol, thanks mate

Hi Guys,
Just thought I'd throw up a quick hi
I'm from the outer N/W Suburbs of Melbourne and have just started track work.
A couple pics of my car...
-
Cool, any vids of the lil Astra doing its thing....thats a fair wack of grunt at the wheels. Are they easy to get that sort of power from?
I've got a really bad video taken by the missus at calder from the weekend, i'll have to get it loaded up.
Takes alot to get power out of an astra as no one over here makes the stuff so I have to import it all pretty much. If only i didn't like opels, it would be so much cheaper

bloody hell, poor old bob, some of you have no respect!
Must say I have to agree with you. Whilst I am really pissed off about this, there is always 2 stories and after meeting Bob several times, I would say this isn't his doing.
