  1. Im being told that rb20's make power easier than 25's

    Also that my mate has 270rwkw from his rb20det...

    There was a thread created a while ago for people with rb20's making 260rwkw or more and all seemd to have trouble getting there

    Just to confirm rb20's make less torque, have more turbo lag and as a genral make less power if the mods where the same for an rb25

    ?

  2. iv polished my car by hand, and with oribital pads neither will remove the swirl marks i have in my car

    iv gone through the polishing and waxing thread and nothing seems to work

    you can see the scratches only at night time and it looks very very bad

    any ideas guys

  3. im going to be replacing my clutch by myself which iv never done before but i have on a falcon.

    just trying to save some money and learn some new shit.

    is there any link on how to change the clutch on a r33 or anything i should look out for ?? anything is apprieciated guys il be attemtping this next saturday and sunday

    yea i know rwkw arent everything.

    is there any way you can make the peak power down more but give it more punch in the middle or something or dos that only work with a new turbo?

    cant wait to do this mod, unless i sell r33 and el xr n get a 33 GTR. proberly not though, whats the price range il be expecting for nistune and fuel pump?

    turbo back exhuast

    g-reddy profec b spec two boost controller( 10 psi)

    blitz pod( one with an internal turbine i think)

    tiny fmic

    making 193rwkw

    wanting to max out the stock turbo as i dont have enough money for new or highflow turbo or the supporting mods.

    thinking fuel pump and nistune

    im guessing i wouldent need new injectors as i imagine power will be round the 210-220rwkw

    any other mods iv forgoten about?

    would it be worth running 11 or 12 psi after the nistune and fuel pump or will there be stuff all performance gain?

  6. ignore the turbo timer. it can't tell you what condition your turbo is in.

    as for feeling different when cold, when the engine is cold the amount of fuel and timing the ecu is running is different to when it's warm. also the turbo and intercooler (and the engine bay in general) are colder so the air is more dense.

    the sound the turbo is making, well that is hard to say. really need to hear it to know for sure. could just be normal intake noise.

    yea just thought because the turbo timer now needs more time to cool down than it used to, how does it know when to increase how long the turbo needs to cool down??

    any info about the stuttering at 5500rpm when very very hot

  7. r33 s2, lately the car has being getting a good work out through the hills, and my boost timer allows for this and ups how many minutes it will let the car cool down it got to around 10mins in some cases( it starts on 30secs)

    now after driving the car to work being nice with only a few boosted moments the timer starts going up to around 34seconds, as far as im aware of it never used to change unless i was really giving it a hard time, atleast when it goes back down after a while.

    does this mean my turbo is on the way out( iv given it a hard life for the short time iv had it)

    also when my car is very hot and im doing around 40km and its in second and i floor it to around 80-90 when it hits 5500rpm it seems to make some werid noise from ehuxast stutter for a split sec and then back on track with power does it sound like coilpacks, when its cold or hasent been driven for hours on end its fine.

    also for the first 5-10mintues of driving my car its very very powerful but sort of moody( i know you should let it warm up) i think its the vct or boost not sure but around 4500rpm something kicks in like a mofo, yet when the car is warm there is no big kick and the car is less powerful unless its just become smooth i dont know.

    also my turbo makes a very very course sound( has since i got it) does that mean anything??

    just the side windows on the door and just behind it i figured id spray paint the plastic. also theres a leak, leakinginto/ onto the back seat nothing major just dont know whether to just use some sealer or take it off and put some rubber on

    ne ideas how to bring the plastic back to life??

    un related, how hard is it to take off the front side guard?? just screws or more

    but i was not fussed about lag if the turbo was still going to be faster than the stock turbo thats on there

    R31Nismoid, youv said it wouldent be faster untill much later on so my question is answered( atleast from one person mabye other people have other ideas)

    why they dont list it on the other page i dont know

    either way i knew it would be very laggy but thought mabye it would still be better than the stock turbo

  10. sell the holden get a cheap ea-el 5speed, turbo kit for 2grand 250rwkw so much less f**king around

    mate is currently in the process

    and where is this bullshit about holdens torquey nature, thats exactly what they lack is torque.( i am comparing this to the ford 4ltr but even still they dont got shit all pull )

    they seem to get good rwkw such as in america making some of them 210rwkw n/a
