FTG Nissan are the best. They show such professionalism. Always willing to give it a go. If they don't succeed they won't try to rob you. Other dealers I tried wanted to charge to even attempt it. Another one I tried wouldn't even make an attempt.
My next New Nissan will definitely be from FTG Nissan.

Admittedly I was pretty skeptical myself when I was purchasing. I even came across a 2007 V36 with only 900km. According to my agent, extremely low km cars come up a lot and is normal.
In the end I purchased a 2007 with ~6000km. Was told by the agent that the condition was consistent with kms. When I got the car, they weren't kidding. Interior was basically brand new, even with the smell. Service manuals also looked legit and were consistent. Paintwork was a bit worn, not bad, but not great. I put that down it being a black car, and most likely the car spent most it's time outside. Nothing a weekend with meguiars couldn't fix.
Even the compliance workshop commented on how new it looked. Actually made it easy for them to comply and get it through quickly.
It probably pays to use a reputable agent for that assurance. I used prestige motorsport and they were first class. Highly recommended.

I'd love to know how you got the iPhone to play music Bluetooth. Mines paired up and I can make calls, but the music just played through the iPhone speakers. As far as I know, the iPhones don't support the A2DP standard, maybe the iPhone 4 does. But then, the dealer at Mazda showed me that he could play music on his 3GS through the CX7.

Anyway, Sougi S6000 is definitely an equivalent to Motul (I used Motel almost exclusively for most of my M35's life here in Aus, but found that for half the price - or less - that the Sougi performed at least as well as 300v).
If you MUST go with Motul, then perhaps contact Trent @ Status Tuning, I believe he sells it cheaper than the auto outlets.

A few of the more modded M35's are running Gulf Western Sugi S6000 .
A good price (about $80 for 5 liters) and good performance.

hi guys. thought i'd post up the happy end to my story. after several attempts to get the pin code from nissan japan (who never once responded to me directly), i got a call out of the blue two weeks later from ferntree gully nissan. was told they found a contact for getting pin codes and they should have an answer soon enough.
sure enough, two days later, got a call back and was told the code. then booked in a time, sent my partner around and 45min later at the dealership, all done.
for anyone interested, the remote and key was around $215, the programming was around $50. not too painful from my point of view.

just cos its custom made dosnt make it any harder. i had a duel system made for my LS400 and it only cost me $750. fair enough it wasn't stainless, but a single system in stainless you could have made for a shit load less than $1400 drive in drive out(not that i see any reason to need it to be stainless other then wank and street cred).
Ok, I misread your post. I thought you meant make something up yourself, not get someone to make it.
Regardless, everyone has their own preference I guess. Not saying one is better than the other. Just saying it's nice to have someone else work out the problems sometimes and give you a bolt on solution. Even if it's at a premium. Not mentioned here is the potential resale value. Whether important or not, but the stillen may fetch more back % wise when it comes time to sell.
Anyways, just another perspective. Not looking to flame bait.

you could get one made up for half the price
dunno about that. Having to custom make everything for my car, it's been nice just being able buy bolt on parts on the skyline - even if it's at a premium. Stillen seems to make decent qualty parts to boot so the price would be justified IMO.

Yeah, I got mine in may. Do you live in the south east? I've had people on other forums "spot" me around dandy, only it wasn't me. Haha. The only other black v36 sedan I've seen drove past me on princess highway at the westall road turn off. But that was months ago.

Yea I have to agree. It's an awesome car. No need to test drive - I didn't. All you need is to be impressed with the spec sheet and photos, coz you won't be dissappointed when you get the actual car. It's basically a 335i with Lexus looks at half the price.

No issues at all. Clears on all sides without any mods at all. Not even a rougher ride like I was expecting.
Just need to improve the stance a bit.
I think the coupes clear even better than the sedans so you should be right.

the rims finally rocked up to our shores (from the us) and i picked then up a couple of weeks ago. thought i'd post up some picks. be kind, im a bit of a noob with photography.

haven't had much luck with this...
brighton nissan assures me they shouldn't have an issue programming the key despite it being a grey import. so with that, i purchased the spare key off them. after i paid and received the key they tell me they can't do it and refuse to even attempt it. not happy, brighton nissan.
so i take it ferntree gully nissan, who were an absolute pleasure to deal with (thank you danielle). unfortunately, they tried and were not able to get it working despite trying the different codes they had. i was given PIN READ (OFO29) and told to ask nissan japan for the corresponding four digit pin. i contacted nissan japan via email ([email protected]) only to get an email days later from nissan australia saying i should get the dealer to contact nissan australia, who would be able to help them. once ftg nissan explained the situation to nissan australia i was told to contact nissan japan.
sigh... so i reforward my email to nissan japan. it's been almost a week now and no reply. is there any other way to contact them?

when i read this thread a few days ago, i didn't think much of it as i haven't had too many try hards since i got the v36.
but then yesterday, an old man (looked 50s) in a current shaped z4 wanted to go me at the lights. you'd think at that age, they'd know better.
the role reversal was kind of funny though, old man in a sports car, young man in family sedan.

Chris Rogers Audio Express Brisbane put an aftermarket Cruise Control in my newly imported V36. He used the Factory buttons and display lights so it appears exactly as a factory installed model. This is a non-adaptive cruise unit that does exactly what YOU request.
In the US the adaptive cruise is the most under used option installed in the V37 Infinitis (they also have a 'standard' cruise fitted which is what people use instead). I think cruise is only available there if you pick the Navigation Option as well and this make it a quite expensive add-on for something thats hardly used. It could be the same in Japan, I suppose? When I was looking for my V36 over 6 months you hardly ever saw a car with cruise.
Chis Rogers did a fantastic job and I highly recommend him if you want Cruise fitted to your V36.

Talking to my agent, cruise control was only available as an option on the later v36s. Even then they are very rare so expect to pay a double premium. Surprising for this class of car to not have something as simple as cruise especially since the American version has it.

Don't have a choice.. Skylines run a staggered set up. Google tells me that I will mess up the drive system if I don't keep this. Also I want the width for the concave in the back.

ok, i need some help with the offsets guys. the fronts will be 9" and the rears will be 10.5". i am looking for an aggressive stance. something like what the g37 coupe has above. any experience with what offsets i need to run with these widths? from what i read in myg37.com, this car is running +27 (FR) and +39 (RR):

a bit hard to find in aus. when i contact vossen in usa, they directed me to a distributor in nz. luckily i found tyrepower in hawthorn who stock vossens (and work, rays, etc). nice guys who are more like car geeks than people running a business

but honestly, i have to say i am feeling the vossens more. they suit the look i am after, especially with the infiniti badging (that american/japanese vip style). i originally wanted dish, but now i'm a bit over it. i'm going to bring the concave look back!

Just adding my two cents... I don't believe it's the size of the tyres, but the load rating. Coupes may be different but the sedan requires a minimum load rating of 95 or 96. The fore mentioned kumhos do not have the required load rating (nor does any other tyre in oz) so they have to go with a different size.
