not sure how badly buckled.. the wheel repairman said it was a write off but im still driving around in them (so dangerous
) with noticeable vibration. -

Bought this bad boy off ebay and never used..
Selling a brand new Stainless Steel Y-Pipe with bolts and gaskets (still in package).
$150 open to offers though. Pickup or will send at buyers expense.

Yeah had it done a while ago, cant remember the code, but the mechanic said it was the bank 1 camshaft sensor, so i had it changed $300-400 for the part.
my question wasnt directed at you but while we are on the topic of codes.. the passenger side bank is P0340 and drivers side bank is P0345 from memory.

**UPDATE**
While cruising at 100km in 5th I noticed the cars sound just disappeared (car turned off) rolling at 2.5k rpm for a split second until I realized, Pushed clutch in and slowly released and I felt the kick from clutch kick starting the car again so hopefully that helps lead to cause of problem
so have you done the fault code diagnostic yet or.... ?

Just got a hold of a 2003 Nissan 350gt V35 Manual..
Engine light randomly comes and goes and when on idle the car randomly turns off and takes a while to crank over then once started I have the check engine light, VDC OFF, and SLIP light on -
Checked brake fluid and tyres and they're fine...
Heard that it could either be the camshaft or crankshaft sensor and would like to confirm since I am still slightly confused, Have just moved on from a BMW so I understand if this question requires a face palm haha
Also when taking off or "revving" the engine it doesnt sound right, as if it is slightly off or somewhat misfiring (not sure if its because of sensors?)
Would appreciate help greatly!!
Ive had the same issue. Do an ECU diagnostic which will reveal if its either the crankshaft sensor or left or right camshaft position sensors...

How'd you get the suspension back? Did you ship it back or fit it in your luggage?
Packed it in with my check in luggage. Had to upgrade to 40kg. The approximate weight of the springs and shocks were about 26-28kg.

Back from the land of the rising sun..amazing trip - would recommend it to anyone.
Ended up sourcing the 19" OEM Rays wheels domestically before i left however I did find a set of used Nismo S-tune Suspension for V35 on a yahoo.jp auction. Picked it up for Y42500 which is the equivalent to about $450AUD. I thought it was a great find. Fitted it yesterday and noticed the difference! Photo attached below - theres about 15-20mm drop from estimate without measuring.
Visited Super Autobacs in Tokyo Bay only to find that they only really stock performance parts for BRZ/86gt however most other parts could be ordered in. Basically a supercheap auto or an autobahn with a performance section and a variety of brand named wheels.
For used parts the numerous Up Garages stocked loads of V series parts so very worthwhile visiting/browing their online stock these guys have a reputation of dealing only with local buyers so would recommend visting if you are over there.

I'd been 90% committed to buying an 83/84 350GT in Jan until I spoke to someone today who has a large and detailed knowledge of these cars , I'm now looking at going back to the future and getting into another R34GT-t , on one hand of things I'm somewhat relieved to perhaps have avoided a potential financial tsunami on the other a tad disappointed to miss driving/owning such a nice looking vehicle.
I'm just not in the financial position to take a consecutive succession of between $1 and $3K+ hits which I have been advised can occur with some of these vehicles.
I too was puzzled over the large price variation in seemingly extremely similar models , and outside of obvious reasons I am , well , still puzzled

I can't remember which bank was which side but the nissan error code test will reveal which one has died. Different code for each bank.
It took about 30 minutes (doing it slowly and carefully for a first timer)

Turns out its the cam sensor aswell, how much did it cost u to fix?
Cost me $240 (from memory) for a replacement part from Nissan Brighton.
Swapped it out myself. There are a few guides online.

I've seen these sell for $300-500 (without that curb rash.) Good luck selling OEM wheels for $1000+.
do you mean OEM 17/18s or are you saying you can find a set of 19" v35 OEM forged rays for $300-500?

So I am in Japan for 3 weeks early Jan.
Would it be wise to source some parts oem/aftermarket whilst there and ship them home ?
Items that I had in mind were:
- 19" OEM Rays V35
- Catback Exhaust
- Series 2 Front + Rear Lights
What are everyones thoughts ?
